We are changing things up a bit here on the weekends at Your Homebased Mom. My weekly menu plan will now be featured on Saturdays to give you an extra day to get your meals planned and grocery list put together before the new week starts.
The weekly link party will now start on Sundays. I will be joining a group of new bloggers you will love getting to know for a big, fun party every week. This new party will start on Sunday afternoons so be sure to come back and join in the fun. Tomorrow we have a great giveaway to go along with the linky party.
I had a crazy fun week this last week. I was able to fly to Utah to attend the premiere launch of Cricut’s new machine! Cricut sure knows how to put on a party and if you follow me on Instagram you saw some of the amazing things they did. I can’t wait to share with you the amazing things their new machine does. I am anxiously awaiting mine in the mail! The details from the party were amazing. Here are a few shots from some of the themed rooms they had set up. I think my favorite may have been the California room. Loved the live goldfish swimming around in the mason jar! Another highlight of the trip was meeting so many bloggers that I have known online but never met in person! Whipperberry, The Idea Room, Thirty Handmade Days, Tatertots and Jello, Love the Dayand Skip to My Lou – such amazing and talented ladies!
In addition to the Cricut event I was able to attend an event where I was able to hear some of my favorite Mormon bloggers talk. It was a privilege and an honor to be included in this group.

Getting to meet cute little Brooke White and her Girls with Glasses partner Summer Bellesa was fun too! Brooke entertained us at lunch.
Of course I also got to spend some time with my kids which is always the BEST part of going to Utah. It was as little bittersweet this time though because of two of my kids weren’t there! Logan has recently relocated to San Diego. He is loving the weather there but we miss him in Provo. Now I need to plan a trip to San Diego. My daughter in law was off on an internship so we missed her too!
Now onto our meal plan. Monday: Italian Wedding Soup – this is a delicious soup and nice and hearty with the pork meatballs and orzo pasta. It’s got everything you need – protein, veggies and some grain. It was a hit at our house. Serve with some nice crusty Italian bread. Tuesday: Chicken Almond Stir Fry – The thing I love about stir fry is how quickly it comes together. You can also add in extra things you might have in the refrigerator. Serve with rice. I love it with brown rice. Wednesday: Honey Lime Enchiladas – these are nice change from the traditional red sauce based enchiladas. I love the little bit of sweetness in them. Serve with Mexican Rice. Thursday: Cilantro Lime Chicken Chop Salad – For a little lighter fare at the end of the week enjoy this salad. Would also be yummy as a meatless meal with the chicken. Friday or Saturday: BBQ Riblets – If you have any leftovers from this it would also make a great “man” meal for the big game day! Serve it with Smashed Potatoes. Sunday: Slow Cooker French Dip Sandwiches -if you are football fans at your house and watching the big game pop this in the slow cooker. Smells wonderful while it’s cooking and it is perfect game day food. For a sweet treat this week try: Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie
