These Cheddar Bay Biscuits taste just like the biscuits they serve at Red Lobster. Delicious garlic cheese biscuits that are quick and easy to make!
We love a good biscuit at our house and some of our other favorite biscuit recipes include 7 Up Biscuits, Cast Iron Skillet Biscuits and Sour Cream Biscuits.
Red Lobster Biscuits
I have only eaten at Red Lobster once in my life. I am sure it is a wonderful restaurant but I am just not much of a seafood fan. But I am a fan of their garlic cheese biscuits.
After falling in love with them after my one and only visit, I had to figure out how to make them at home. So of course I googled it and I found a great copycat Red Lobster Biscuit recipe.
These biscuits are quick and easy to throw together at the last minute, they smell wonderful and taste great.
They are quick and easy because they use Bisquick which I always have on hand. They are a drop biscuit so no rolling and cutting!
Copycat Red Lobster cheddar bay Biscuit Ingredients
- Bisquick or other baking mix.
- Cheese. I use a Mexican Blend of Cheese but you could use straight Cheddar or whatever. your favorite cheese is.
- Milk
- Butter
- Garlic Powder
- Oregano
If you are not a yeast bread/roll maker these Garlic Cheese Biscuits would be a perfect addition to your dinner table because there is no yeast involved!
How to make Garlic Cheese Biscuits
- Mix Bisquick and cheese; add milk.
- Spoon or scoop onto an ungreased cookie sheet (makes about 12). I used an ice cream scoop to form nice round bisuits.
- Bake at 425 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
- After they bake, brush them in a mixture of melted butter, garlic powder and oregano. You can’t use too much. Let those babies bath in the stuff!
Next time you need a quick addition to your dinner gives these Garlic Cheese Biscuits a go. You can have fresh buttery biscuits in a matter. of minutes.

Someone wondered about making these without Bisquick – here’s the recipe we use in our house – very similar – just with flour/salt/soda instead.

These look delicious, but I never have Bisquick on hand. I wonder what proportions and ingredients I should use instead of the Bisquick? Google, here I come!
