  • Pour chocolate no churn ice cream mixture into a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan lined with parchment paper or freezer safe ice cream container. To learn how to cut the parchment paper to fit loaf pan watch this video.
  • Sprinkle the top with some additional mini chocolate chips.

Tips

  • I recommend using mini chocolate chips but you can use full size chocolate chips. They do get hard as they freeze and bigger chips makes the ice cream a bit more “chewy”.
  • This recipe is easy to modify. I love to make s’mores no churn ice cream by mixing in 4 smashed graham crackers, 1 1/2 cups of mini marshmallows that I have toasted under the broiler, and 1 cup of hot fudge sauce before freezing. You can add any of your favorite mix ins too!

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will no churn ice cream last in the freezer?

Stored in an airtight container it will last up to two months.

Can I make no churn ice cream in an ice cream machine?

No, this recipe is designed to be made without an ice cream maker.

Can I use Mix-ins in the ice cream?

Yes, you can mix in crushed cookies or candy. I recommend putting half of the mixture into the loaf pan, adding half of your mix-ins, then layer with remaining ice cream mixture on top and sprinkle remaining mix-ins on the very top.

Can I use a different flavor extract?

Absolutely, the vanilla and chocolate would be delicious with peppermint extract, mint or coconut extract.

I love this recipe! Here’s the thing, I have ALS and the only thing that I can eat is ice cream…without chunks. I have figured out how to make the toasted marshmallows into a ripple, the fudge is fine but the graham crackers. Any ideas on how to add the flavour without the chunks?

I am so glad you enjoy the ice cream. What about soaking the graham crackers in the milk and then blending it up. that way you would get the flavor but not the chunks.

Would you please break down the quantity of graham crackers into the amount of crushed pieces? I need to make this recipe using gluten free graham crackers, and the crackers are not packaged in sheets. This looks amazing and I hope to make it. Thank you!

Elaine, You could really just sprinkle on as much graham cracker as you think you would like. The 9 sheets of graham crackers makes about 1 1/2 cups of graham cracker pieces.
