Fiesta Ranch Dip is delicious and only has five ingredients. This easy dip recipes comes together in minutes and the flavor is amazing!
I never eat this Fiesta Dip without thinking about my father. I learned a lot of things in the days following the passing of my father. One of them is the power of food to heal. The time we spent at my father’s side the last few days of his life and the days following his death planning the memorial service time seemed to move so slowly, almost standing still. I also discovered that I didn’t have much of an appetite. But when I finally did eat something it was amazing how good it tasted and how much it helped soothe my nerves and how hungry I really was!
The night of the memorial service we gathered at my brother’s home and enjoyed all the delicious food that had been dropped off at our homes the past few days. One thing my sister in law had put together for us was today’s recipe for Fiesta Ranch Dip. We all stood around the bowl on the counter and devoured it. I don’t think anything ever tasted so good.
Ingredients
- Mayonnaise
- Sour Cream. Use a full fat sour cream. My favorite brand is Daisy.
- Medium Cheddar Cheese, freshly grated. Don’t use the pre-grated cheese, grate your own! It’s so much better.
- Hidden Valley Ranch Dip Mix.
- Taco Seasoning. You only need 2 Tbsp of taco seasoning. Use mild or spicy if you prefer

Kept in the fridge in an airtight container it will last up to a week

Yes! It’s the perfect make ahead dip because it is better if chilled for at least 2 hours before serving. It allows all the flavor and texture to come together. It’s the perfect thing to make the morning of or the night before you plan on serving it.

To make it a bit spicy you can add in:
Rotel tomatoes (use the hot version for a lot of heat)
Pepper Jack Cheese Use instead of cheddar cheese or a combination of the two.
Sprinkle in some cayenne pepper or chili powder with the seasoning.
Seasonings : Add some red cayenne pepper or chili powder into the dip before mixing.

Leigh Anne, I’m so sorry for the passing of your father. It’s wonderful that he lived a long and happy life, but it’s still hard on the family to process the loss. I thought it was especially generous of you to create a post about planning a memorial. Your celebration of life for your father seemed so nice, and so perfectly included his life’s passions. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas and wisdom with us during this challenging time.

I have a similar recipe from the PlainChicken blog that you might like, too. Hold the mayo from your recipe, use regular HVR mix, and add a package of bacon bits. Soooo good! I’ve taken to keeping these ingredients in my house so I can whip up a bowl whenever the mood hits us. I’m definitely going to try your dip, too – I’ve never used the Fiesta Ranch mix. Thanks for sharing.
