These Asian Chicken Wraps are quick and easy to put together and a great way to use up leftover chicken.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

Quick and Easy: An Asian Chicken Wrap is the perfect quick and easy dinner idea. It is one of my favorite ways to use up leftovers in the refrigerator too.  If you’ve got some leftover shredded chicken or other meat the wraps require no cooking or turning on the oven which is always a plus in the hot summer months.

Eat on the Go: They are also a great idea for a dinner on the go, they take only minutes to assemble.  All you have to do is wrap it up and go.  Wraps work great in lunches too. All the ingredients can be prepared ahead of time and all you have to do is assemble it when you are ready to eat.

Secret is in the Sauce: The secret to this recipe is in the sauce, it is a yummy Asian flavored sauce.

Ingredients Needed

  • Cabbage shredded
  • Lavash wrap, or you can use a flour tortilla or pita bread
  • Chicken Breasts, boneless, skinless. Cooked and diced
  • Mandarin Oranges
  • Red Bell Pepper
  • Sliced Almonds
  • Greek yogurt, plain
  • Mayonnaise
  • Brown Sugar
  • Soy Sauce, low sodium
  • Dijon mustard
  • Sesame Oil
  • Chili Garlic Sauce

Tips from leigh Anne

  1. Make wrap with lavash bread or a flour tortilla or serve ingredients in pita bread.
  2. You can make your shredded chicken ahead of time using the microwave or in the slow cooker. You can also purchase a rotisserie chicken.
  3. After adding all your ingredients roll up your wrap as tightly as you can.  A tightly rolled wrap is easier to handle.
  4. Instead of cabbage you could also use chopped spinach, romaine lettuce, broccoli slaw or a store bought cabbage mix.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use something other than chicken?

You can use any leftover protein. you have. Another great option is to cook up some ground chicken or ground turkey and use it. You can also make it vegetarian by leaving out the meat and including additional veggies.

What else can I add into this asian chicken wrap?

To give it some additional crunch, add in some water chestnuts, peanuts, or chow mein noodles.

Can I make Asian chicken wraps ahead of time?

I recommend preparing all the ingredients ahead of time and then assembling before you are ready to serve or up to a few hours ahead of time. They will last for several hours (will totally work in a lunch box), just wrap in foil or plastic wrap to keep them from drying out. I don’t recommend preparing them the day before as the sauce may make the tortilla soggy if prepared that far ahead of time.

    Leigh Anne:
needed to do a lunch at church for 300.
Was thinking about doing pulled bbq chx on bavarian pretzel rolls and then doing the asian chx salad on croissants.
Saw you did a meal at church for about 300.
What do think about the options for a leaders lunch? What do think portions/quanity would need to be for your asian chicken recipe?
would love any other suggestions you might have.

    Hi there,

There are so many wonderful recipes on here and I am anxious to try them. On your Asian Chicken Wrap recipe……it calls for: 2 tble spoons plain Green yogurt……I’m sure you meant “GREEK” instead of green. LOL. Just did not want anyone to be confused. :))

Thank you so much for the sauce’s recipe. I totally agree about it contributing a lot to the taste. Much more is that it is an Asian recipe which I can relate.
