Hosting a waffle bar for a bridal shower is fun and easy! The addition of a juice bar makes it even more special
One of my favorite parties to throw is a bridal shower. It is just exciting to be a part of such a fun new beginning. A young couple in love. I love to see the bride’s face as she talks about her fiancé and see and feel her excitement!
Bridal Shower
I recently gave a bridal shower for the daughter of a friend and had previously done showers for her other two daughters. Until today’s Waffle Bar Bridal Shower, the Crepe Bar Bridal Shower I did for one of the girls has been one of my favorite parties. I wanted to put a spin on the Crepe Bar idea so I came up with a Waffle Bar. We love waffles at our house and dressing them up with all kinds of sweet and savory toppings.
How To Put Together a Waffle Bar
I divided the table into two different sections, a sweet section and a savory section
Sweet Waffle Toppings:
- Lemon Curd
- Whipped Cream
- Greek Yogurt
- Sprinkles
- Jam
- Nutella
- Granola
- Berries such as raspberries, strawberries and blueberries
My favorite combination is lemon curd, berries and whipped cream.
Savory Waffle Toppings
- Caramelized onions
- Sauteed Peppers
- Eggs
- Pecans
- Brie
- Basil
- Bacon
My favorite savory combination is bacon brie, basil and a little peach jam, it’s so amazing.
The guests all had a great time creating their own fun combinations.
How to Keep the Waffles Warm?
I just kept the hot waffles coming and used my amazing Overnight Yeast Waffle Recipe. You could also use this Liege Belgium Waffle Recipe. I had three waffle irons going, so there was always a warm one available.
If you don’t have multiple waffle irons, you can make waffles ahead of time and then keep them warm on a baking sheet in the oven at about 200 degrees F.
I also had a trio of syrups to put on the waffle bar which included Buttermilk Syrup, Cinnamon Syrup and Maple Syrup.

Well, it would definitely elevate an outdoor party where there may be more activity from guests, looks pretty without being breakable.

This is a great idea. I love your juice cart. The mixing and matching juices is a great idea. I would love to do this waffle bar for my daughter’s 18th birthday which is coming up next month. The Chinet Cut Crystal looks fancy with out risk of breakage at a party with lots of people. Lots fancier for an event like a birthday or wedding shower than regular plastic cups. Very pretty.

I would dress up the containers/holders like you did, but probably let the grandkids help since they love glitter and i do not!
This would be quite an upgrade for us. And so elegant. I can see glitterized ribbon or fabric strips for the glasses, glitterized bunting around the table, silver-ish trays to hold the Chinet serveware…and, every thing would match!
Makes me want to run and get some today!!
thanks
