Tips from leigh Anne
- I used fresh herbs but you can always used dried parsley and rosemary too.
- I cook my pizza on a pizza stone in my oven. Be sure and heat up the stone before putting the pizza on it.
- If you don’t have a pizza stone you can bake the pizza on a large baking sheet also. Sprinkle the baking sheet with some corn meal first to keep the pizza from sticking.
- Short on time? Use store-bought pizza dough or flatbread to make it a weeknight-friendly meal. You’ll have dinner on the table in under 30 minutes!
- Add caramelized onions, roasted garlic, or a handful of spinach for a little extra flair. This recipe is super flexible—mix and match based on what you love.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use leftover chicken for this recipe instead?
Absolutely! This recipe is perfect for using up leftover grilled, roasted, or rotisserie chicken. Just chop it up or shred it and toss it with the sundried tomatoes, red onion, garlic, and herbs and cheese,
What other kind of crust can I use for this pizza?
You can use my favorite homemade pizza dough, a store-bought crust, or even naan or flatbread for a quick shortcut. If you like a crispier texture, pre-bake the crust for a few minutes before adding toppings.
What kind of sauce can I use on this pizza?
I don’t really use anyn sauce on this pizza, just the chicken mixture. But, a garlic olive oil base is delicious and lets the rosemary shine, but you can also use Alfredo sauce for a creamier option or a light pesto for a more herbal flavor.
Can I make rosemary chicken pizza ahead of time?
You can prep the toppings and dough ahead of time, but I think it’s best to bake the pizza just before serving so the crust stays crisp. Leftovers can be reheated in a hot oven or air fryer to bring back that fresh-baked texture.
