Orange Pie tastes just like a slice of sunshine feels! It’s made with a graham cracker crust and filled with creamy orange goodness and topped with orange whipped cream.
Orange Creamsicle Pie
If you love a key lime pie, you are going to love this orange pie too! It has the same sweet graham cracker crust but it’s filled with and creamy orange filling instead of lime. It is a bit of sweet sunshine in your mouth! This pie will have you dreaming of warm, sandy beaches!
Ingredients
- Orange Juice. For a strong orange flavor use orange juice concentrate, straight out of the can, don’t dilute with water.
- Citrus. You will also need 2-3 lemons and 1 orange. Use the juice and zest from the lemon and zest from the orange. You can also squeeze the orange and add that juice in for even more orange goodness.
- Sweetened Condensed Milk. The kind that comes in the can.
- Eggs. You will only be using the yolks, not the egg whites.
- Heavy Cream. For garnishing.
- Graham Crackers or Shortbread Cookies
- Sugar
- Butter
How to Make Orange Pie
- Make Crust
- Using either shortbread cookies or graham crackers, add them to a food processor or blender and pulse to make fine crumbs.
- Add in sugar, salt and melted butter. Whisk to combine mixture.
- Press into the bottom and up the sides a 9-inch pie plate. Use the bottom of a measuring cup to flatten the crust.
- Bake the crust for 12 to 14 minutes at 325 degrees F. Let cool completely, at least 30 minutes.

2. Make Orange Pie Filling
- Mix together all the ingredients in a bowl until combined. (Save a little orange zest for the whipped cream)
- Pour into cooled crust.
- Bake for 15 to 17 minutes or until the center jiggles slightly when shaken.
- Let cool completely and refrigerated for at least 3 hours or cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate over night.
3. Make Orange Whipped Cream
- Combine heavy whipping cream with sugar and orange zest and whip in a stand mixer or use any kind of electric mixer, until stiff peaks form. Serve on top of sliced pie.
- Garnish the orange pie with a slice of orange and some additional orange zest if desired.

This pie is best made at least one day a head as it needs time to chill. Can be made 1-2 days ahead of time and will last for 3-4 days in the refrigerator.

The pie freezes well. Can freeze as an entire pie or wrap slices individually and freeze. Will last in the freezer for 1-2 months.

- 3 Tbsp sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 4 Tbsp butter melted
Filling
- 14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
- 6 Tbsp orange juice concentrate thawed
- 4 egg yolks
- 2 tsp lemon zest about 2-3 lemons
- 6 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp grated orange zest
- pinch salt

- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp orange zest
