Why You’ll Love This Recipe!
This recipe for Marshmallow Popcorn was one of the first recipes I pinned from Pinterest, back in the olden days.
I experimented with a lot of recipes I found on Pinterest in the beginning and I found it’s a little bit of a risk when you try something you’ve pinned.
When I found this popcorn, the pinner assured us that they were totally obsessed with this treat and couldn’t get enough of it. There was no link back to a blog so unfortunately I can’t give them credit. I discovered that they were right, this popcorn was amazing and my faith was restored in Pinterest.

LOVE this recipe! It couldn’t be more simple or addictive! I took the liberty of adding about a teaspoon of vanilla to the marshmallow mixture. I even went the extra mile and made my own popcorn via air popper. I use a brand that has less hulls and leaves fewer unpopped kernels.
Has anyone used the flavored marshmallows: peppermint, chocolate etc?

Jennifer, Love the idea of adding vanilla and of using flavored marshmallows!!

can you make this without microwave?
Leigh Anne says
I have never done it on the stove top but I would give it a try.
AKG says
Hi,
just to clarify, would 2 sticks of butter = 1 cup? Should I use salted or unsalted butter? Also, the microwave popcorn is plain unflavored popcorn, am I right?
Sorry for all the questions! I wanna get this perfect ’cause it sounds and looks so delicious! đŸ™‚
Leigh Anne says
Yes, 2 sticks of butter is one cup. I use salted butter and you can use whatever plain or buttered popcorn. The butter flavor just makes the marshmallow popcorn more buttery!
SanDee says
do you have to use brown sugar?
Leigh Anne says
I have never made it without brown sugar.

Do you have to add brown sugar?
Leigh Anne says
SanDee – I have never made it without and I am sure it would alter the flavor but I figure with a recipe – you don’t have to do anything if you don’t want to! Give it a try!
