Why You Will Love This Recipe!
My ultimate dream is to be able to cook in the kitchen and have someone follow behind me that cleans up after me!
This recipe for One Pan Chicken Yakisoba Noodles is the perfect solution for a delicious meal with little clean up. Noodle dishes are a kid friendly dinner and a favorite at our house. Ramen was always a favorite of my boys and I think one of my son’s pretty much lived off of it in college. This recipe for Yakisoba noodles is so much better than the dried ramen noodles you buy in the store but it is just as easy to make.
Ingredients Needed
- Chicken. I use boneless, skinless chicken breasts but you could also use chicken thighs.
- Onion. Diced or chopped
- Soy Sauce. You can use low sodium or regular.
- Brown Sugar
- Garlic. Fresh and minced
- Sesame Oil. You will find this in the Asian aisle at the grocery store. It provides a lot of flavor so don’t leave it out. Don’t substitute vegetable oil.
- Sesame seeds. For garnish
- Red Pepper Flakes. This will add a bit of heat so you can leave it off if you prefer.
- Salt and Pepper
- Olive Oil. You can also use avocado oil, canola oil or vegetable oil.
- Yakisoba Noodles. You will find these vacuum packed in the produce aisle of the grocery store. Do not use dried ramen noodles.
- Broccoli Slaw. This comes packaged in the produce aisle, usually near the grated carrots or cabbage.
What is Broccoli Slaw Made of?
Broccoli slaw is a salad that is a combination of shredded raw broccoli stalks along with some shredded carrot. It is often used a substitute for shredded cabbage.

My family of 7 loved this! Very simple to make and delicious. I followed the directions exactly. Definitely going in my dinner rotation.

Loved this! Super easy. The flavor balance in the sauce was great. Not too heavy on the soy or sesame. I used low-sodium soy sauce and the only extra salt I added was to the chicken while that cooked.
Will definitely make again and once we can have dinner guests again I will probably try a veggie version for my vegetarian friend.

A friend of mine shared this recipe on Facebook in early November. We’ve eaten it every week since then. I still haven’t made it with chicken. We just stir fry more veggies for a few minutes then continue the recipe as written. Thanks for such a great recipe!

I love hearing that! I’m so glad you enjoy it so much! Thanks for letting me know.

This was super easy to make but a little too salty for my taste. I think next time I’ll decrease the soy sauce by one tablespoon. Thanks for the recipe!
Aileen Miles says
Did you try it with low-sodium soy sauce? That might help. That’s what I used, and I didn’t add extra salt except to salt the chicken a little while it was cooking. That was just right for us, but tastes vary.
