Twix Cookies are soft, chewy cookies loaded with chunks of Twix candy bars, giving you caramel, chocolate and cookie crunch in every delicious bite.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe!
If I had to pick a favorite candy bar, it would definitely be a Twix. In fact, I like Twix bars so much that my husband proposed to me with one!
After a romantic dinner, we went back to his house where the lights were dimmed and George Benson was playing on the record player—yes, a record player! Jim had made me a coupon book out of construction paper and Twix bars. The coupons were for all my favorite things, including ice cream at Baskin-Robbins, a doughnut from Winchell’s, a foot rub, tickets to a Kenny Loggins concert and, of course, a Twix bar.
The final coupons were the best ones—a diamond ring and the love and devotion of Jim for an extra-long time…eternity. I said yes, and I’ve never been able to eat a Twix bar without thinking about that night!

So, of course, putting my favorite candy bar into a cookie just makes sense.
These cookies are:
Loaded with Twix. These cookies have pieces of Twix candy bar throughout, so you get chocolate, caramel and that signature cookie crunch in every bite.
Soft and chewy. The cookie is soft and chewy, which is the perfect contrast to the crunchy pieces of Twix.
Easy to make. This is an easy way to turn a basic cookie into a extra special delicious cookie. Just chop up some Twix bars and add them to the dough.
Perfect for candy lovers. If you love Twix—or have a Twix lover in your life—these cookies are going to be a favorite.

Ingredients
- Flour, all purpose unbleached flour
- Baking Soda
- Salt
- Butter, salted and room temperature
- Sugar, brown sugar and granulated sugar
- Eggs
- Vanilla Extract
- Twix Candy Bars
- Milk Chocolate Chips, optional

How to Make Twix Cookies
- Chop your Twix bar into 1/4 inch chunks. Cut each bar in half lengthwise and then chop into 1/4 inch pieces width wise
- In a bowl, combine flour, soda and salt and set aside.
- Melt butter in microwave or on stovetop. Partially cool.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer, using the paddle attachment, blend butter and sugars together until combined
- Beat in egg, egg yolk and vanilla
- Add in dry ingredients and beat until just combined
- Fold in Twix Bar chunks into cookie dough.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 13-16 minutes until light golden brown and edges start to harden but center is soft. Do not over bake. Cool on wire rack. Because of the caramel in the Twix they may stick a bit to the cookie sheet so use a spatula to remove

Tips from leigh Anne
- Save some candy for the top. Set aside a handful of chopped Twix pieces and gently press them into the tops of the cookies right after they come out of the oven. It makes them look even better and lets everyone know what’s inside.
- Don’t overbake your cookies. Remove them from the oven when the edges are lightly golden but the centers still look slightly underdone. They will continue to bake as they cool on the baking sheet.
- Give them room to spread. Leave enough space between each ball of cookie dough so the cookies don’t run into each other as they bake.
- Use a cookie scoop. A scoop makes it easy to get evenly sized cookies, which means they will bake at the same rate.
- Let them cool on the baking sheet. Leave the cookies on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack. This allows the centers to set without overbaking.

I may be a little biased when it comes to Twix bars, but putting them into a soft, chewy cookie makes them even better. You get chocolate, caramel and cookie crunch in every bite—and in my case, a few very sweet memories too. After all these years, a Twix bar still reminds me of that construction-paper coupon book, George Benson playing on the record player and the night I said yes. I’d say that’s a pretty good reason to make a batch of Twix Cookies!
