I don’t have any Chick fil A restaurants near where I live but I have fallen in love with their frosted lemonade. It is the perfect summer treat. A combination of cool ice cream and delicious lemonade. It is simple to make, all you need is ice cream, lemonade and a blender.

Ingredients Needed
There are just two ingredients needed to make this delicious summer treat. You can keep them on hand and enjoy it all summer long.
- Vanilla Ice Cream
- Lemonade

How To Make Chick-fil-A Frosted Lemonade
This recipe makes one serving, but it is easy to adapt. Just use two parts ice cream to one part lemonade and you can make enough for the entire family to enjoy.
- Add 2 cups of Vanilla Ice Cream to your blender.
- Add 1 cup of lemonade.
- Blend in a good blender until smooth.

Tips from leigh Anne
- Choose a good quality vanilla ice cream. The flavor of this drink depends heavily on the ice cream, so use a rich, creamy vanilla ice cream you love. Premium ice cream will give you that smooth, indulgent texture.
- Adjust the sweet-tart balance. Everyone has a different preference when it comes to lemon. Add more lemonade for extra tang or more ice cream for a sweeter, creamier drink. Taste and adjust until it’s just right.
- Blend just until smooth. Over-blending can make the frosted lemonade too thin. Blend only until everything is smooth and creamy for that classic thick milkshake-like consistency.
- For an extra frosty experience, place your serving glasses in the freezer for a few minutes before pouring. It keeps the drink colder longer and feels extra special.
- This recipe doubles or triples easily. Blend in batches if needed and serve immediately for the best texture. Perfect for summer parties or an afternoon treat.
- Try adding fresh strawberries or raspberries for a fruity twist, or swap vanilla ice cream for frozen yogurt for a slightly lighter version.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a frosted lemonade?
A frosted lemonade is a creamy blended drink made with lemonade and vanilla ice cream. It is basically a lemonade milkshake. It has the texture of a milkshake with a sweet-tart lemon flavor that makes it extra refreshing.
Can I use diet lemonade?
Yes, you can. Use your favorite store-bought lemonade.
Can I use frozen lemonade concentrate?
Absolutely. Frozen lemonade concentrate gives the drink a strong lemon flavor and thick texture. Just mix it according to package directions before blending, or use it slightly frozen for a thicker consistency.
How do I make it thicker?
For a thicker frosted lemonade, add more ice cream or use partially frozen lemonade. Blending in a few ice cubes can also help create a thicker, frostier texture.
Can I make it ahead of time?
This drink is best enjoyed right after blending while it’s thick and frosty. If needed, you can store it in the freezer briefly and re-blend before serving to bring back the smooth texture.

Went to Chick Fil A for the first time and had one of these a few weeks ago while vacationing in Arizona. I haven’t been able to get them out of my mind since:) I was so excited to see the copycat version and can’t wait to make them! So wish we had a Chick Fil A in Vancouver, WA. We loved everything about it! Thanks for this!

I just had one of these the other week!! So Good!! Like drinking cheesecake! My brother lives in Oregon (from VA) and CFA is one of the big things he misses!

I can confirm the 1:2 lemonade to ice cream ratio. I asked at a local CFA and they said that’s how they make em. We also use Breyer’s Natural Vanilla but found that Simply Lemonade is far too sweet. The lemonade from CFA is nice and tart so it cuts the sweetness of the ice cream really well.
I would recommend either adding some fresh lemon juice to give it a little more of that bite or make your own from the CFA recipe (http://realmomkitchen.com/11692/chick-fil-a-lemonade/). Another nice treat is adding a dash of Limoncello (lemon liquor) for the adults partaking.

This sounds so good. When we visit our son in Arizona we try to get to a chick fil a but we keep missing out. They opened one in Bellevue a little while ago and they have big traffic jams constantly, they had to make changes to the traffic patterns and has been in the news a lot. Also, love lemon anything. Going to get ingredients today to make. Looks delicious. Thanks
