Holiday Breakfast} Honey Fruit Salad

Today’s recipe is for the fruit dish I served at my Holiday Breakfast.  Last year I served Strawberries and Brown Sugar Cream.

This year I decided I would just go to Costco and see what fresh fruit they had and that would decide what I made.

Lucky for me they had fresh strawberries, raspberries and blueberries – and they were yummy!  I picked up a bunch of bananas too.

I then got on allrecipes and looked around.  Lucky for me I found a recipe that used all the fruit I had – Honey Fruit Salad.  It has a nice light dressing using honey and lemon juice that was fast and easy to put together.  It was a hit at the breakfast too.  In fact I made it again the next day for dinner.

Honey Fruit Salad

The honey and lemon really brought out the yummy flavor of the fresh fruit and it was pretty!!  The recipe calls for poppy seeds too but I forgot to put them in.  EnJOY!

This looks mouthwatering. I think we need to have this for Christmas day. The hard part will be deciding to have it for breakfast or dinner. It may end up at both meals.

How delicious! I’m blessed to live in a climate where most of these fruits grow year-round, so I’d love to try this yummy breakfast mix. I have the feeling that tossing everything (minus poppyseeds) into the blender with a bit of yogurt would be a delicious smoothie as well! Thanks for sharing, as always.

That little salad looks absolutely amazing. A little tough to make up here during winter, but sounds refreshing during the summer.
