It’s delicious! Thanks to this recipe, everyone can enjoy a fresh batch of homemade easy cheesy pull apart rolls covered in butter, garlic and cheese whenever they want.
Ingredients Needed
- Frozen white dinner rolls. I use the Rhodes brand
- Butter
- Parmesan Cheese
- Parsley flakes
- Garlic powder
- Salt
- Italian seasoning
- Onion powder
How to make Cheese Pull Apart Bread
- Place 16 frozen rolls on a plate or cookie sheet and allow to sit at room temperature for 45 minutes. I use the Rhodes variety of frozen rolls.
- Cut each roll in half with a clean pair of scissors once they have begun to thaw. Do not let them get totally thawed or they will be hard to cut.
- Mix together melted butter, seasonings 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese.
- Pour over cut rolls and stir to totally coat dough in mixture
- Place sliced dough into the bottom of a nine inch springform pan.
- Allow the dough to sit at room temperature and rise until doubled. It will take about 1 and 1/2 hours.
- Place the pan on a cookie sheet before putting it in the oven or cover the bottom of the pan with foil in case the butter leaks out of the spring form pan.
- Bake in a 350 degree F oven for 20-25 minutes. Then cover with foil and then bake for another 10 minutes or until center is baked through.
- Cool in the pan for 5 minute and then remove the outside of the pan and enjoy! It’s warm, delicious and full of cheesy garlic goodness.
Tips from leigh Anne
- If you don’t have a springform pan with a removable bottom, you can use a tube pan or a bundt pan. Just be sure to cool the bread long enough so that it pulls away from the sides of the pan for easier removal. Baking time will need to be adjusted.

I don’t have a spring pan, so I use a bunt pan. Works just as well for those who also don’t have a spring pan!

It will work fine.

Hi Leigh Anne,
I found your recipe on a Google search last night. I was looking for something quick and easy for an end of year staff party. Your recipe is the BOMB! My coworkers loved it and several asked me for the recipe. Thank-you!
I did modify the recipe by using 2-12 oz. rolls of Texas Style buttermilk biscuits cut in half. Plus I let them sit at room temp to warm up enough that the melted butter wouldn’t completely solidify. The baking time for the biscuit dough was about 25-30 minutes before the center was fully baked.

Sallee, So glad it was a hit! Thanks for letting me know.

This sounds so good and as we are trying to try new foods for dinner I am going to try this. I have two questions. Can I substitute the garlic and salt with garlic salt and if so how much and can I substitute the Parmesan cheese with shredded cheddar cheese? Thanks, any help would be appreciated.
Leigh Anne says
Donna you can certainly give it a try! Haven’t tried substituting so you may need to play around with the amounts. Enjoy!
