I am hosting a dinner party and you are invited! There is also a really cool prize involved with this dinner party. You are going to want it – I promise!!
As much as I’d love to have each and every one of you over to my house for dinner – wouldn’t that be fun!? – it’s just not possible.
So I’d like to invite you to a virtual dinner party. And you get to help plan the menu.
The only requirement is that the recipe has to come from Pioneer Woman. You do know Pioneer Woman, don’t you?
Pioneer Woman is a ROCK STAR blogger. This woman gets thousands of comments on her posts, was recently featured in People Magazine, the Bonnie Hunt show and just came out with her own cookbook! She is my idol!
Over the last few years of blogging I have tried lots of her recipes. I have yet to find one that disappoints.
This past week I was in an apple mood so I baked up her Apple Cake in an Iron Skillet. I love cooking anything in my cast iron skillet!
It was yummy and delicious and perfect with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, just like Pioneer Woman promised. As good as the cake was I must admit my favorite Pioneer Woman apple dessert is her Apple Dumplings - oh my gosh!! They are amazing!
To join my dinner party all you have to do is let me know what your favorite Pioneer Woman recipe is. Just leave a comment to let me know. If you haven’t made any Pioneer Woman recipes yet go on over and pay her a visit and look through her recipe archives. You’ll be drooling soon. Then come back and leave a comment and let me know which one you are going to try!
I can’t wait to see what some of your favorites are.
Now to the prize part. With the help of random.org, one of you will be selected to receive a FREE copy of Pioneer Woman’s new cookbook!!

Of course, the cookbook is full of amazing Pioneer Woman photography. Step by step photos of her amazing food. Many of my favorite PW recipes are in the book as well as several new ones I am looking forward to trying. I think the first one on the To Try list will be the Breakfast Bowls – what a fun way to serve breakfast and clean out your frig!!
So just leave a comment sharing your favorite PW recipe and keep your fingers crossed. To earn an extra entry, just blog about my dinner party or share it on Facebook. Come back and leave another comment with the link to your post!
Here are some of our family PW favorites!
Can’t wait to hear your favorites!

I had never heard of the Pioneer Woman until reading your website. Now, I have too many new recipes to try. Since I am partial to “Baked Goodies” I will try the Texas Sheet Cake and the French Puffs soon!!
I am crazy about her “bacon-wrapped jalapeno thingies” her “pasta primavera” and her “my most favorite burger ever – (for now)”. I am certain there aren’t many of her recipes that if I tried that I wouldn’t just love so I am crossing my fingers, toes and anything else I can cross that I will win one of her cookbooks
I made her White Chicken Enchiladas last night. It was my first since I just found her site (thanks to you) 3 days ago. The enchiladas were soooo yummy!
I love the PW’s Caramel Apple Pie!!!! I hope I win a cookbook.
The pumpkin muffins were YUMMY! Can’t wait to try some more pioneer recipes!
I too LOVE the apple dumplings.
This cookbook is on the top of my “to buy” list for my friends. I can’t wait to get my hands on one! I am absolutely thrilled with the layout she decided on and it is a wonderful reflection of her blog which we all of course love. One of my favorite posts are your “cross over” blogs. To be a fly on the wall for that one!!
The crushed potatoes were a big hit, a keeper with my chef son-in law.
We get the true test at this home.

I don’t even need the berries on it.
I haven’t tried any of her recipes, but they sound so yummy! I would love the cookbook so I can try them all!
I have to agree with so many. How do you pick one favorite. I thought about it, thought about my fave comfort food, and of course simplicity has to play a HUGE part in my life. I must say the Crash Potatoes hit the mark when it comes to me. My family and I love anything with the word ‘potato’ in it, and these are tasty, simple and can be dressed up or dressed down. ‘Simple elegance’ is what I am all about!
I made PW’s Pot Roast from the 1/1/08 blog post and it was delicious!! My husband said it was the best he had ever had!
I still find it amazing that I stumbled upon her last year. I absolutely love reading her blog and trying her recipes. I love Pastor Ryan’s fish recipes, her Cowboy Spaghetti.
YUM!
Her cheese bisquits! They are so good!
Wow! there are lots of Pioneer Woman fans! we love the crash potatoes and apple dumplings. my mom makes both recipes too.
I’d love to try her Orange Marmalade Rolls. I love the fresh citrus taste of rolls with orange marmalade. Last year my daughters and I tried Cake Balls and Cupcake Pops. There were rich and delicious.
Pumpkin Butter…..YUMM-O….gotta have the pumpkin butter.
I love her recipes! I’ve made the yummy Apple dumplings! That’s my #1 dessert recipe.
