Milky Way Bar Cookies are the easiest dessert you will ever make. Only two ingredients are needed for this decadent dessert.
Today’s recipe is delicious and EASY!! And when I say easy, I mean two ingredients easy.
I first had these Milky Way bars over 20 years ago. We were having dinner at my husband’s bosses home and his wife served this treat for dessert.
One of my top 3 favorite candy bars is a Milky Way bar. When she gave me the recipe I couldn’t believe it, it had only two ingredients. Milky Way candy bars and store bought chocolate chip cookie dough. You know the one that comes in the roll in the refrigerator section of the store!?
Ingredients Needed
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
- Milky Way Candy Bars
How to Make Milky Way Cookie Bars
- Slice cookie dough into one inch pieces.
- Cover bottom of a 9 x 13 pan with cookie dough.
- Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
- Cut candy bars into small pieces.
- Remove pan from oven and spread candy bar pieces over top of hot dough.
- Press candy into dough.
- Return pan to oven.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes,
- Allow the bars to cool and then cut and serve!
Tips
- Line pan with parchment paper for easy removal and clean up.
- These are delicious at room temperature, but even better when served warm.
- It’s fun to switch up the candy bar in this recipe. Candy Bars with caramel or nougat, like Snickers or Three Musketeers, work best.

This is your husband’s bosses wife, lol. I lost my recipe and could not remember how long to bake them.Went to Pinterest. Found the recipe on your site was really glad to find it but just as happy that you still make. Congratulations you have done great. I do have your cook book.
These bars are super easy and taste like you worked forever to make them. I do use the Dark Chocolate Milky Way and use about 6 or 8, makes them even gooey.

Thanks for the awesome, ridiculously easy recipe! I’ve made these bars a few times and I always get so many compliments when I make them. Nobody believes they are made with store-bought cookie dough and only 2 ingredients! The first time I made them, they were a bit stuck to the pan. Now I grease the pan with butter and it makes them taste even better!
