Delicious banana cupcakes with homemade cinnamon cream cheese frosting are easy to make. They will be a hit with all of your banana bread lovers!

These banana cupcakes are one of my favorite ways to eat a banana. They are soft and moist, and full of banana flavor.
To be honest, I really eat them for the cinnamon cream cheese frosting, it’s amazing!!

Ingredients
- All Purpose Flour
- Sugar, granulated sugar and powdered sugar
- Baking Powder
- Baking Soda
- Salt
- Butter, unsalted
- Bananas, ripe
- Eggs
- Vanilla Extract
- Cream Cheese
- Cinnamon

How to Make Banana Cupcakes
- Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Make a well in center of flour mixture
- Mix together the butter, mashed bananas, eggs, and vanilla and pour it into the dry ingredients.
- Stir to incorporate flour mixture, do not over mix.
- Spoon batter into muffin cups lined with paper liners.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center of a cupcake comes out clean.
- Remove cupcakes from pan and allow to cool completely on a wire rack.
- Beat butter and cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth.
- Slowly add the powdered sugar and mix until everything is combined
- Add the vanilla and the cinnamon
- Frost the cooled cupcakes.

Tips
- Pulse the bananas in a food processor to create a banana puree. This prevents any chunks of banana in your cupcakes.
- Pecans and walnuts would go great with these cupcakes. You can add them to the batter or sprinkle them on top of the frosting.
- Use room temperature softened butter and cream cheese for the frosting to make sure you get a nice smooth consistency.

Shanna,
Yes I just use my biggest round tip that I have – It is a 7P – at least I think that is what it says as it is pretty old and worn off! My decorating tips were my mothers and are probably 45 years old – I love them!

Thanks, Leigh Anne. We are looking forward to pictures of the “wedding cupcakes.” These banana ones look wonderful. When Grandma Camp is over, I will be cooking up a storm. It is a BLESSING to turn on the computer each day and receive your inspiration in so many different forms. You truly motivate me to be better and go outside my comfort zone.
Shanna says
oh yummy! So how do you make all your frosting so pretty? Do you just use a big fat tip on an icing bag? I love it! Thanks!
