Camp Craft Ideas

It’s Monday and I am headed off to our church’s girls camp this week.  I won’t have access to a computer or internet so if you leave a comment or a question I will get back to you as soon as I am home again.  Thanks for your patience. Please pray for me.  With only one day home to recover from my trip to Europe I am praying the jet lag isn’t bad and I can function! I am excited to be at camp this year as it is my [Continue Reading…]

Cake Stand Roundup

cake stand

Thanks to all of you who sent me photos of the pretty cake stands you made after watching my tutorial. You did some fun and creative things and I can’t wait to make a few more now! Debbie found two graduating sizes of glass votive cups that she used for the bases, and one of the glass plates has a nice rose etching.  She also used two matching candle holders and two matching glass saucers to make two small matching shorter stands.  Love them! Terri went to Joanne Fabric Store [Continue Reading…]

Finding the Pretty} Reusable Shopping Bags

I’ve been trying to be more green lately.  I do live in Oregon after all – the capital of living green! I have to admit one thing I struggle with is remembering to take those reusable shopping bags in with me to the grocery store.  I tried leaving them in the car but I’d get in the store and realize I forgot them and I was just too lazy to go back and get them or it would be pouring down rain and I wasn’t going back out in the [Continue Reading…]

Blog Book

I love it when someone takes an idea and makes it better whether it be a recipe or some other creative project. In August I shared with you  a cute paper covered notebook  I made for my team members before our annual convention. A few weeks ago I was in one of our neighborhood shops.  The owner, Renee,  is a friend and a reader of this blog.  She shared with me a darling notebook she put together after seeing my paper covered notebook post. She took the idea and made [Continue Reading…]

Paper Covered Notebooks

I am a paper person. I love paper. My love of paper is one of the reasons I am a scrapbooker. I write everything down on paper. Last week I went to Anaheim/Disneyland to attend a convention for my direct sales company.  Each year I like to take a little gift for the members of my first line team who attend.  Just a little something to let them know I appreciate them. What better than a gift of paper! This year I bought some of those $1.00 composition books we [Continue Reading…]

Accordion Fold Out Album – Craft Tutorial

After my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary in March I wanted to create a little picture keepsake of my parent’s wedding for my daughters, especially since Cali was not able to attend  the anniversary party.  And really, having grandparents who have been married for 50 years is pretty special!    So I put together two of these… While in Arizona for spring break I bought some chipboard accordion fold out albums that I thought would be the perfect thing to use for the keepsake. I found them in Mesa at Mystic Paper.  Unfortunately [Continue Reading…]

Dream Board Tutorial

dream boards

Last week I had a fun activity with some members of my homebased business team.  We put together Dream Boards. When I visited cold Minnesota in January my friend Susan took me through a dream board exercise and I created one of my own.  In the past,  I have shared with you the 3 dream boards I have in my office. Dream boarding is a concept I have done for years.  A Dream Board  creates a vision and picture of what you want your life to be – what you want to create [Continue Reading…]

Hugs and Kisses Banner

hugs & kisses banner

I am in a banner mood. Last week I shared this fun Valentine banner. This week my Camp Craft Ladies and I are getting together and we needed a craft to make.  I saw this darling Hugs and Kisses Banner over at My Romantic Home and since I seem to be in the banner mood I decided it was perfect. I thought it would be a good idea to try it out first before the Crafty Ladies got together. I got a little carried away.  Not only did I put together one banner [Continue Reading…]

Valentine Banner

Valentine Banner

While my college daughter was home over the Thanksgiving break we made a fun banner for her to hang in her dorm room.  It was quick and easy to put together .  Check out my tutorial here. Here’s Cali’s banner… Cali and I had a fun time picking out fabric that would match her bedding.  It turned out so cute I was tempted to keep it for myself but being a good mother I let my daughter have it! Our women’s group at church sponsors monthly Enrichment Activities and this month [Continue Reading…]
