The Funky Junk Sister’s “Junk Salvation” Vintage Flea Market at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Hillsboro was full of fun finds.

Ever on the lookout for fun vintage pieces to add to her collection Tessa brought this cream colored wool vintage coat home for twenty dollars.

_dsc9346

She also scored a great pair of cream colored leather high top boots.

_dsc9297

And we had to take a picture of her with the sweet gal we bought them from.

I found lots of things I now want to go home and make.  My creative juices were churning!

Loving this fun banner!

I could use some fun new pillows for my windowseat.

_dsc9338

And who couldn’t use a fun burlap table runner!

_dsc9342

And I am loving these fun display jars!  Goodwill here I come!

I see some definite crafting time in my future.

I did manage to bring home a couple of things with me too.

A few new blue Mason jars for my collection.  These have some great metal and glass lids on them.

And I have a thing for old drawers.  I love to use them to store things in.

And then my favorite find of the day!  A yellow ironing board!!

Like my husband, you may be wondering what on earth I am going to do with it.  Well, wouldn’t it be perfect for a serving table at a tea party, a garden party, a baby or bridal shower?   I just see a pretty little pendant banner hanging from it or a vintage table cloth over the top!  Oh the possibilities.  I think I am going to have to plan a party just so I can use my new ironing board!!

Here’s the cute gal I bought it from.

So much fun and so many pretties!

After the flea market Tessa and I made a quick stop at Goodwill just to take a quick look and look what I found…

An Idaho plate!  It was actually the pretty blue color around the edge that caught my eye, the fact that my husband was raised in Idaho is a bonus.  I have no idea what on earth I am going to do with it but I love it.  I’m thinking maybe I need to collect plates from all the states we have lived in.  So I’ll be on the lookout for California, Wisconsin, Washington, Utah….

Got my pretty fix for the week!  Thanks for letting me share.

Next week I’ve got all kinds of fun sweet treats to share in preparation for Valentine’s Day!

About 10 years ago I collected vintage plates from the 6 states that my husband and i have lived in. In the various homes we have lived in I have displayed them in either the dining room on plate shelves or in the kitchen over the pantry door. People comment on them frequently. They are inexpensive to find at antique/junk shops or flea markets.
