We’re spending the weekend having a garage sale with the neighbors. Trying to clear out!
It was a pretty low key week around here – lots of work and lots of rain. Not sure what happened to our summer. We were able to enjoy eating outside in the garden on Monday with some friends. We have a group of “empty nester” friends we get together with once a month for dinner and family home evening. Ever since we had small children Monday has been designated as family night and we have had family home evening, a program that our church developed and encourages. Now that the kids are gone we still have it but with our other empty nester friends – always a delightful, fun evening. For more info on Family Home Evening check out this.
Our roses have been going crazy this year and so I used some of them to decorate the table. It is amazing how something as simple as mason jars full of water and flowers from the garden can be so beautiful!
On to our party and this week’s most viewed link from The Hub of Our Home for 100% Whole Wheat Rolls. They look amazing!!
Some other things that caught my eye that I thought you might enjoy:
Love me anything lemon! Lemon Bar Muddy Buddies from Lemon Tree Dwelling.
We’ve had to pretend it was summer here in the NW the last week with cooler weather and lots of rain but a yummy, icy drink like this Frozen Coconut Limeade from Dessert Now Dinner Later should make it feel just like summer.
These yummy Fruit Smooth Popsicle s from I Dig Pinterest totally make me ready to have summer stay for a while!.
I’m loving this darling No Sew Patriotic Banner from The Benson Street, too – you have plenty of time to whip one up just in time for the 4th of July.
Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza from Faith Filled Food for Moms looks delicious.
