This week the Halloween came down and the Fall went up. I had fun doing things a little bit different this year. I shared on Instagram but here is what I did in my entry way. I love white pumpkins so I took some of my orange pumpkins and painted them with chalk paint and then cut some lettering out on my Silhouette out of gold vinyl and applied it to the pumpkins. Thanks to Landeelu for the inspiration! The Thankful and Blessed print was downloaded from Nest of Posies and I had it printed at Staples as a Blueprint and it cost less than $2.00! Added it to a frame I found at Goodwill.
On my mantel in my family room I added a print I got from Kiki & Co. I love colors! I had it printed at Costco on the posterboard. Cost was about $25.00. I finally got around to making some of those cute velvet pumpkins you’ve seen all over Pinterest. I used stretch velvet and just used a dinner plate to cut out a circle of fabric. Ran a gathering stitch around the edge and then filled it with fiberfill and plastic polly pellets you can get at the craft store. Stitched it closed and then hot glued a real pumpkin stem on top. I bought lots of smaller pumpkins this year just so I would have the stems. I did bake the stems in my oven at 150 degrees for about an hour to dry them out before I glued them out. I followed this great tutorial and tips from my friend Dawn who made me the cute orange velvet pumpkin last year.So on to last weeks top linky party picks! So many yummy fall treats were shared!
