I am a big fan of getting your photos off of the computer, off the memory card and into your hands. Yes, print your photos. I think it is almost becoming a dying art.
The other place people now store their photos and actually treat as a photo album is Facebook. I love uploading my photos to Facebook and sharing them with friends and family and I love looking at their photos. But there is something about the printed picture and besides, what if we woke up one morning and Facebook had disappeared – along with our photos. Not likely but you never know!
Recently Snapfish came out with a fantastic way to easily and quickly print those Facebook photos. It is an app that turns all of the memories you share on Facebook into an easily customizable 20-page photo book. Not only is it a way to make sure your photos are more permanent but also a way to share your photos with those who aren’t on Facebook, maybe like Grandma and Grandpa. Although my 80 something mom and dad are on Facebook!!
With the new SocialPics app from Snapfish, Facebook users can build their own unique timeline photo book in just a few clicks. This enables you to archive some of your proudest moments by date and in less than a minute, SocialPics auto-curates a photo book that features your most popular Facebook photos, comments and updates. SocialPics comes in soft cover ($19.99) or hardcover ($28.99). It really is that quick.
Here is the SocialPics book I created from Cali’s Facebook page. I used the photos from last year.
It is a very fun overview of her Facebook life.
It even includes the profile photos of many of your Facebook friends.
You do have the option to change any of the photos you don’t want to use.
Such a fun gift idea for just about any one on your Christmas list who is on Facebook. You will need to “borrow” their Facebook log in to do it though. Tell them they’ll be glad they gave it to you.
The other beautiful digital album I made recently was one from the Wedding Carnival. As you know, I had a lot of photos. I created a beautiful coffee table style 11 x 14 Lay Flat book.
I love, love, love this book. Not only do I love the size of the book but I love that it lays perfectly flat open.
This book was so easy to create with one of their predesigned templates. I just drag and drop the photos in and then added some text. So easy!
It truly is a family keepsake.
I love creating photo books as gifts. With the holidays coming up now is a perfect time to try out some of the new products Snapfish has available.

I have an album on FB of my brother and I. My brother passed away 18 months ago after bravely battling leukemia for exactly four years. He was 48. He was my rock and I miss him more each day.
I love Snapfish’s photobooks! We made several last year for Christmas when they had a buy 1 get 2 free special! They were beautiful! I would love to make one of our camping trips last summer. We got so many great photos and created wonderful memories I want to hold in my hands!

Be warned, I used this app and now I cannot access my entire facebook newsfeed. I accepted the terms of the app, against my better judgement; only 100 people use the app and it asks for access to almost all your information. I’m so frustrated.
