This last week my daughter Cali and I hosted a bridal shower for one of her best friends. Cali will be a bridesmaid in the wedding next week.
I used my new glitter trees I made as the center piece for the food table. I now have glitter all over my house and everywhere I go I seem to have people telling me I have glitter on me somewhere!
The glitter trees are quick and easy to put together. I purchased cone shaped styrofoam at the craft store, sprayed them with spray adhesive and then covered in glitter. Using my E6000 glue I attached them to some clear candleholders I found at Goodwill.
I had some left over Christmas ornaments which I put into some glass containers. Quick and easy table decor.
The color scheme I used was teal blue, green and red so my blue mason jars filled with Kosher salt and candles worked perfect.
For the backdrop I covered a foam core board with some fabric and then used my Cricut to cut out the names of the bride and groom to make a quick and easy pendant banner. A few of their engagement photos were the perfect finishing touch.
The menu included both sweet and savory and since I was a little short on time I went with a nice combo of store bought, prepared foods and homemade.
From Trader Joes I bought:
Corn Salsa and Chips
Sundried Tomato Hummus
Roasted Garlic Hummus
French Macarons (mainly because they are pretty on a plate)
Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwiches with Chocolate Ganache
Sundried Tomato and Pesto Torta
Assortment of crackers, flatbreads, chips and bread
From my kitchen:
Roast Garlic and Artichoke Dip
Chocolate Peppermint Ganache Cupcakes – this recipe is on it’s way. These were amazing and got rave reviews. I took the leftovers to a luncheon the next day and they were even better after sitting overnight!!!
Here’s the cute bride to be and her best buddy!

Hi – I love your talent and artistry in decorating – you make it look effortless! By the way, where do you store all your bits and pieces?

I have a closet in my husband’s office that holds all my serving pieces. It’s a little out of control!! Christmas is stored up in the attic.
Aww! What a gorgeous set up! I love weddings and the wedding showers are one of the best parts! Awesome that she’s got great friends like you.
I love the glitter trees! You can get candlesticks like that at the dollartree, too. For anyone that has one close to them.
This is beautiful! I love it. What a lucky bride-to-be

You are so clever- love the glitter trees! I’m envious of your beautiful green and blue fluted dishes. What a fun party!
Where do you get all of your cute cake stackers. I love seeing all of the cute things you do!
I kind of collect them from all over the place but I believe most of them in the photo came from HomeGoods. I pick them up at Goodwill, Target, Ross etc.
Leigh Anne, I love your decorating and I love the mason jars with kosher salt and candles. Where did you pick up those mason jars? I noticed they had handles on them. Is that right? They are so cute and a great idea.
I am pretty sure they came from Goodwill. You can also find them on ebay if you are in a hurry and don’t have to time to wait for them to show up at Goodwill.
