Keep poppy seed dressing store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Notes
Use another type of vinegar for a fun variation - white balsamic vinegar, red wine vinegar, champagne vinegar, white wine vinegar or any flavored vinegar.
You can also use flavored olive oil for more flavor.
Instead of minced onion use fresh chopped shallot or red onion. Chop small.
For a creamy version of poppy seed dressing, add in 2 teaspoons of mayonnaise.
Sometimes I like to add in a tablespoon of sesame seeds too for more crunch
