Instructions
In a bowl combine milks, sugar and salt. Whisk together well to dissolve sugar.
Add in vanilla extract and cocoa powder. Mix well.
Pour into ice cream maker and process according to manufacturer's directions.
Five minutes before done processing add in chopped chocolate if desired.
Place into a freezer container and allow to harden up for several hours.
Notes
To make Chocolate Chocolate Chip Ice cream, add in 1 cup of chopped chocolate, semi sweet or dark chocolate or use 1 cup of mini chocolate chips.
If you don't want chunks of chocolate but want additional chocolate, melt your chocolate in the microwave until it is a nice drizzling consistency. Add a few drops of vegetable oil if you need it smoother. Drizzle the chocolate in a nice thin stream into the ice cream the last five minutes of churning time. You will get a nice flaky chocolate.
To make Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream, place teaspoons of peanut butter onto a baking sheet and freeze. After putting ice cream into a freezer container add frozen peanut butter balls and swirl through the ice cream.
