Last week my friend Karen called, actually she texted me, to ask if I wanted to go meet Bakerella with her. I didn’t know Bakerella was coming to Portland so I was glad she invited me.
If you don’t know who Bakerella is, you obviously don’t spend enough time reading blogs (ha-ha.) Bakerella is the amazing talent behind all those fun cake pops you may have seen. Be sure and visit her blog to check out her fun work!
She recently released a cookbook with lots of her fun cake pop recipes.
On Monday, this week, we headed to Washington Square to Williams Sonoma where she was having a book signing.
Karen, Jackie and I each bought our own copy of the book to have signed.
Before she started signing books Bakerella spent some time talking to us, sharing some tips and hints for making better cake pops and answering questions. She was very friendly and down to earth.
She signed my cookbook – to Your Homebased Mom and we had our picture taken together.
I have only made cake balls once. I have to admit they are a bit labor intensive for me but my friend Karen who went with me to meet Bakerella is an expert!! Check out the cute cake pops she brought me last year.
In fact, Karen has graciously agreed to make some fun Halloween themed cake pops for everyone at my Mummies Night Out Party! Karen is also a Stampin Up instructor and is providing a fun make and take craft for all the party guests! I’d love to have you join me for this fun evening and to help raise money for Prayers for Megan!
