This eggroll in a bowl is a perfect, quick, 15 minute weeknightmeal that the whole family will love. It tastes just like an egg roll but there is no wrapper!
Cook pork sausage and onion, until meat is browned and onion is soft, about 10 minutes.
Add in soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, brown sugar and salt to taste. Stir to coat meat.
Add in coleslaw mix and shredded carrots
Serve and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
Drizzle with sweet chili sauce if desired.
Notes
Mix up your sauce ingredients so they are ready to add in after adding the cabbage. You don't want your cabbage to overcook while you mix up the sauce.I love to use ground pork but you can use ground turkey, chicken or beef.You can substitute shredded carrots for broccoli slaw if. you prefer.
