Ingredients
Graham Cracker Crust
1 1/4
cups
graham cracker crumbs
1/4
cup
butter
melted
5
Tbsp
granulated sugar
Key Lime Pie Filling
1
14 oz. can
sweetened condensed milk
2
Tbsp
lime zest
1/2
cup
key lime juice
I buy it bottled in the juice aisle.
2
pints
lemon sorbet or sherbet
green food coloring
if desired
Garnish
1/2
cup
whipping cream
whipped
lime slices
Instructions
Graham Cracker Crust
Combine all three ingredients and stir until well mixed.
Press mixture into the bottom and sides of a 9 inch pie plate.
Key Lime Pie Filling
Mix together milk, lime peel and lime juice.
Add in sorbet and stir quickly to combine and until smooth. Add in a few drops of green food coloring if desired. (I used one drop)
Fill pie crust with filling and put in freezer for 6 hours to harden up.
Whip cream and pipe onto pie or just spared a layer over the top. Garnish with limes.
