Candied pecans are one of the easiest ways to dress up a salad or vegetable dish and they add some amazing flavor and crunch too.
Servings 6 servings
- 1 cup nuts whole or chopped
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 Tbsp butter
Melt butter and sugar in a frying pan, stir until it begins to bubble and darken around the edges.
Add in nuts and stir to entirely coat nuts with mixture. The sugar may seize up a bit but that is o.k. - continue stirring and it will melt.
Continue stirring as sugar caramelizes and coats nuts.
Remove from heat when nuts are coated with sugar mixture. Spread in a single layer on a piece of foil and allow to cool.
Store in an airtight container.
