Overnight Heart Shaped French Toast

Ingredients
3
eggs
1/2
C
milk
2
Tbsp
sugar
1/2
tsp
baking powder
1/4
tsp
cinnamon
1/4
tsp
ground nutmeg
1
tsp
vanilla
6
slices
of thick French bread
Strawberry Syrup
1
lb.
fresh strawberries
chopped. Reserve a few for garnish on top
1
C
sugar
2
Tbsp
fresh orange juice
1
tsp
grated orange rind
Instructions
Cut bread into heart shape using a cookie cutter
Mix together the first seven ingredients until well blended.
Place bread on a large baking sheet (with sides)
Pour batter over the bread. Turn the bread and make sure back side is coated as well.
Cover with plastic wrap and let sit in the refrigerator over night.
The next morning spray a skillet or frying pan with cooking spray and cook french toast until golden brown
Strawberry Syrup
In a medium pan combine all syrup ingredients and bring to a boil. Simmer until strawberries are reduce by 1/3.
Remove from heat and allow to cool. Place in blender and blend.
Return mixture to pan and cook until mixture thickens.
Makes about 1 1/2 cups of syrup.
