I recently spent a week in Utah visiting my two girls. I love going to visit my girls but it is always amazing how their cars are conveniently out of gas and they have no food in their apartments each time I come to town! I guess that is what mom’s are for and truth be told I love spoiling them. Since they had no food, a trip to Costco was in order. While there I managed to pick up a little treat for myself. A bag of white chocolate peppermitn covered pretzels. They were so yummy and I may or may not have shared.
I am a big fan of a sweet and salty combination so pretzels covered in white chocolate is pure heaven to me. One of my favorite holiday treats I make each year are these White Chocolate Cinnamon Pretzels.
I decided that these white chocolate peppermint pretzels would be a cinch to make at home and then I could have them whenever I wanted! So when I got back to Portland I whipped up a batch and they were just as good as the storebought ones. You only need three ingredients. A bag of pretzels (I like the waffle shaped ones), almond bark or white chocolate and crushed peppermint candy or candy canes.
Melt the chocolate, add in the crushed peppermint and then stir to totally coat the pretzels.
Spread the pretzels out on a cookie sheet, in a single layer, and then allow them to set up.
A batch of these bagged up for friends and neighbors will make you very popular!
