Why You’ll Love This Recipe

Honey Garlic Chicken in moist and full of flavor.  The chicken thighs don’t dry out as easily as chicken breasts do. The sauce in this recipe is thick and delicious and is a combination of soy sauce, ketchup, garlic, honey and ginger. Don’t let the use of ketchup scare you away, I promise you, the sauce is delicious.

How to Serve Honey Garlic Chicken

As the chicken cooks, a yummy sauce forms. Spoon it over the top of the chicken when serving. Garnish with some green onions and sesame seeds. We love it served over rice.

Tips from Leigh Anne

  1. I always keep chicken thighs in my freezer so this is an easy, last minute slow cooker meal that can be cooked in a shorter amount of time too.  It doesn’t take all day like a lot of slow cooker recipes.  If you don’t have chicken thighs you can use chicken breasts.

This has been making my house smell absolutely amazing! I cant wait to try it over rice. Does the sauce thicken more? Mine is still pretty liquidy.

If the sauce doesn’t thicken enough for what you like, you can add a little cornstarch dissolved in water to it and it will thicken up.

Do you think this would work with wings? I don’t personally like thighs so much, but everything else about the recipe sounds amazing!!!

Not sure about wings but it should work just fine with breast meat.

If you used chicken breast, would you have to adjust the cooking time?
