If you have followed my blog for very long you have seen that I have a bit of a “thing” for serving pieces.
Yes, I have quite a collection. It’s almost to the point that they need a room all to themselves – they have already outgrown the large closet I have been using.
I get quite a few questions and emails about my serving pieces asking where I get them.
The majority of my serving pieces come from Goodwill, Home Goods or Target. I rarely pay over $10.00 for anything.
I stop at Goodwill about once every week or two weeks to just take a quick browse. Some days I find absolutely nothing but other days I hit the jackpot. Today was a good day!
Look at these two beautiful serving platters I found. They look like they came right out of my grandmother’s china cabinet. I love them and can’t wait to use them.
These two beautiful china platters were only $6.99 a piece. I have to admit they are some of the most expensive things I have bought at Goodwill.
Food tastes better on a pretty plate!
My next stop today was Target. The first place I always stop when I am at Target is the dollar bins. Just know that not everything in this area a $1.00 – some are a bit more. This area is usually right inside the front door. Today I found some fun things.
I loved theses small metal tubs. I can just see them full of all kinds of fun things at our next party. They would have been great for the Popcorn Bar! The possibilites!! They were $2.50 a piece
With Fall right around the corner I can just picture these cute baskets full of apples! They were also $2.50
Whenever I bring something new like this home my husband usually asks me “What are you going to do with it?” I usually don’t know but I always find something to do with it!
And then I couldn’t resist these cute little orange polka dot buckets. I am sure I will find something to fill them with at Halloween! They were $1.00 a piece. They are perfect for treats to take to the neighbors.
Do you have a favorite place you find fun serving pieces? Don’t tell me! (ha ha, no, I really want to know!)
