Whole Wheat and Oatmeal Waffles and more….

Just received a text that Cali is safe and sound in England!   For those of you who know Cali and may want to follow her London adventures she has started a blog.  This is my child who said they would never have a blog!  She gave in!  The blog is still under construction (we are adding some pretty touches of course) but her first post is up.  Check it out here.  I’d love for you to leave a comment over at Portland Mama to let me know you were there!

In my continuing quest to add more whole grains to our diet I have been making these yummy waffles a lot lately.

Head on over to Portland Mama for the recipe.  For a fun addition, I fried up some bacon and crumbled it and added it to the batter!

On my trip to Utah this last week for graduation I made a quick trip to the Women’s Expo that was going on.  It was fun to see my friends Kris and Kim from the DIY Dish!  I took them a little gift – two of my reuseable grocery bags (Watch my etsy shop for new bags that will be added to the shop later this week)

I also got to meet Kara of Kara’s Kitchen Creation. I have enjoyed her blog and recipes for sometime and it was fun to meet her in person!

A fun graduation post coming!

It was so fun to meet you Leigh Anne! I just checked your cute Cali’s blog. Look’s like she’s following right in her mother’s footsteps. :)

BTW, your picture turned out way better than mine did. Do you mind if I use it?

I do wear navy – I recently discovered that I should not wear black so I have switched to navy and brown. I have a friend who is a stylist and she did my colors and informed me of that! I have a closet full of black!

Navy shoes are impossible to find – I have tried. I really like wearing colored shoes so instead of navy I shoes I wear burgundy, gray, silver and even yellow with navy outfits. My daughter is starting a fashion blog and maybe I’ll do a few fashion posts over there!

You are one busy woman!!!! What a fun month for you. It’s fun to see the picture of you and Kris and Kim. I know they say they aren’t related to the Osmonds but I really think they have to be related to Olive Osmond somehow, somewhere….long, long ago perhaps. Betcha!
I checked out Cali’s new blog. She’s so cute. Love how she writes! I can tell she is going to have so much fun there. I’ll be following her on her blog.

I loved checking out Cali’s blog! She will have a wonderful adventure. My granddaughter Jordan did BYU study abroad in London last summer and was able to go to so many plays, concerts, etc. There was even an unexpected weekend in Paris with several girls.
My Dad taught at the BYU London location years ago and I was able to visit him there, on my first trip to London. It was special to know that Jordan was staying at the very same location.
