We will be going to our son place in Redmond Oregon and i will be helping him cook our 15 lb Turkey, sweet Potatoes, mashed potatoes with gravy, Frog Eye Salad, a Pink Whipped salad, Dinner Rolls, Frozen Corn and 4 pies plus for having dinner at his place we got a very special 7 Flavors of chocolate-cake,everyone will love that one. I’m taking my special pie to eat. The rest of the family will eat the chocolate cake. I’m also going to enjoy the three grandchildren that will be there.

The cake is called Magnificent 7 Chocolate Cake.

We’re hosting my family and we’re having our traditional:
turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes with marshmallows, green beans with bacon, brussel sprouts, stuffing, raspberry pretzel salad, spinach salad with pears (was this from you last year or Martha?), rolls, Martinelli’s sparkling ciders, cranberry sauce, lime jello, and my sister-in-law is bringing 3 pies. YUM!

I wish so badly that all my kids were here this year for Thanksgiving. This will be the first year we do not have a huge crowd of family and friends. We are not sure what we are going to do. We have had several invites, but it is not the same when you are so used to doing it yourself… you know?

I love Thanksgiving almost more than any other holiday because I love to cook all our favorites.

I’m not hosting dinner this year, but I’ll be taking our traditional “pearls and rubies” (pearl onions and cranberries in a sugar/stock sauce), and I’m always elected to be in charge of the gravy.

We are going to our local church to have Thanksgiving with other military families in the area.

I would LOVE to come have dinner at your home.
