First, the housekeeping. If you subscribe or read my blog through your RSS feed I have a little job for you. I have switched my RSS feed delivery system from Feedburner to Mail Chimp. This means that if you currently read my blog through your RSS feed you will need to unsubscribe from Feedburner and re-subscribe using the RSS button on the front page of my blog. I apologize for this little inconvenience but in the long run I am hoping it will help to ensure you receive my updates on a regular basis!! The Feedburner RSS will work for the next 30 days and then after that you will not receive updates unless you resubscribe. You don’t want to miss anything!! If you read my blog through an email update in your inbox you do not need to do anything.
The button to click on looks like this:
Second, I have two amazing giveaways going on this week and you don’t want to miss either one of them. So, if you haven’t entered yet please do so!
To enter to win a basket of My Favorite Things click here. Be sure to visit my other 24 blogger friends for a chance to win their basket too! You totally want to win my basket!!
To enter to win a selection of amazing crafting items click here. One of my most favorite crafting tools, a Silhouette machine, is part of the giveaway. Scroll on down below to see the fun piece of Thanksgiving home decor I made with my machine!
Now onto the Thanksgiving Decor. I spent the weekend getting my house ready for Thanksgiving and wanted to share a few photos. I still have another project or two I am working on which I’ll share as soon as they are done.
The newest addition to my family room mantel decor is this fun “mock” chalkboard piece I created on my Silhouette Cameo.
I loved the quote and it incorporates two of my favorite words – thankful and happy!
The wooden piece hanging next to it on the wall is an old floor grate or something I picked up at Goodwill. The other decor are items I have picked up over the past few years at Home Goods.
This side table is also in my family room.
The framed print is one I found last year here. I had it printed at Costco and then framed it.
Just tear the covers off a few books for this quick and easy decor.
I am also in love with this cute little pumpkin my friend Dawn made for me. It looks perfect sitting on an old vintage book from my mother in law.
The front entryway is still a work in progress. The large quote is from the Wedding Carnival and I am thinking of making something the same size with a Thanksgiving/Gratitude quote on it – what do you think?
Do you have a favorite Thanksgiving/gratitude quote to share?
Happy Fall!
Leigh Anne

Your gratitude quote is great and your decor is beautiful.
I’m a FAN. I love the picture presented. Truly artistic!
Im confused. I receive your emails that link me to your blog. I cancelled that because i thought i was supposed to. Was that right?
Maybe i don’t read your blog thru my rss feed (which i don’t know what that means anyway..??) im not sure what my next step is. I don’t want to miss anything!!
So, i just resubscribed via my email address because i think thats the right thing to do. Yes??
Julie, you only need to unsubscribe if you read my blog through you RSS feed. If you read it through your email you don’t have to do anything. Sorry for the confusion. If you resubscribed through the email you should be fine.

Love the happy/thanful quote. Is it vinyl that you cut out with your silhouette and stuck on the “mock chalkboard? Very cute.

Love the Thankful sign and subway art!
Hi! I love the chalkboard sign you made. How did you do it in silhouette cameo? I just purchased the vinyl from them. I’d love to make a sign similar to this for my wedding.
Do you have a tutorial and how did you do the lettering?? It looks so crisp. Thanks!
I did cut the lettering out on the Silhouette cameo. I don’t have a tutorial but if you google it there are lots of tutorials out there.
