Yesterday the first of my children was suppose to arrive home for the holidays. Thanks to an overabundance of snow and ice in Salt Lake City she is still in Utah. We are saying our prayers and keeping our fingers crossed that she can get home tomorrow along with her sister and the other three on Saturday! Positive thoughts and prayers that my kids arrive home and safe appreciated!! Breakfast with Santa

Our annual Breakfast with Santa that we host for some of our neighbors was last Saturday.  This event has turned into one of my favorite Christmas traditions. When my children outgrew going to Breakfast with Santa at Meier & Frank but I hadn’t, I decided to host my own Breakfast with Santa and invite the neighbor kids! This weekend was our annual Breakfast with Santa.  A fun event we host for some of our neighbors. You can read more about how this tradition started over at Your Homebased Parties. Our menu for the party is the same every year – pancakes, little sausages, fruit, juice and hot chocolate. Each year everyone raves about my hot chocolate.  It’s an old family recipe!  Not really, in fact it isn’t even a recipe it’s only a secret ingredient.
