So am I allowed two lemon recipes in a row? I think since it is Easter week and Easter and lemon go together so well it will be o.k. Some type of lemon dessert is a requirement at our house.  No matter what else we have – there must always be lemon! Last year I made a lovely lemon crumb cake.  The filling on this cake was amazing.  A combination of cream cheese, whipping cream and lemon curd.  I still dream about it. This year I decided I wanted to [Continue Reading…]

Caramel Apple Bundt Cake

Caramel Apple Bundt Cake

This is the third and final recipe from the dessert table at Mummies Night Out. One of my favorite fall combinations – apple and caramel. I love it, oh, so many ways. Here is one of my favorites. I just discovered a new favorite way to enjoy apples and caramel together – Apple Caramel Bundt Cake. This recipe came from my good friend Deb back in Minnesota. Blueberry Banana Cake with Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting

I now have a new reason to let my bananas get too ripe. Cali and I had just been out blueberry picking. So in addition to the ripe bananas, I had a bucket full of fat, juicy, yummy Oregon blueberries too!  How lucky can [Continue Reading…]

I think we all should Eat Cake! This week here at Your Homebased Mom it’s all about cake!  I am going to share with you some of the yummy cakes I’ve been making lately and I’d love [Continue Reading…]

I am always looking for and trying new lemon recipes.  Not too long ago Gayle sent me a recipe for a Lemon Crumb Cake (I love it when my readers share recipes with me – hint, hint) Gayle had found this recipe [Continue Reading…]

Friday Favorite – Texas Almond Sheet Cake

Before I share this week’s Friday Favorite I wanted to show you a few fun ideas I used at the graduation party for Cali and Hannah  we hosted last Saturday. My friend Sherra shared these ideas with me after she attended a graduation party of a neighbor.  They are so cute and they got rave reviews at our party. Aren’t these the cutest little graduation caps?  They are made from chocolate covered graham crackers and mini Reese’s Peanut Butter cups.  For directions visit Sherra’s blog.  I used red and blue M & [Continue Reading…]
