Broccoli & Artichoke Dip

Broccolil and Artichoke Party Dip

I adore appetizers. Sometimes I even enjoy them more than the main course. I’ve even made a complete meal out of appetizers. We serve a large array of appetizers on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve so I’m always on the look out for a yummy new recipe. One of my favorite all time appetizers is Roasted Garlic Artichoke Dip. I have a recipe that I love and I’ve given out to many, many friends. It is always the first appetizer to disappear at any party I take it [Continue Reading…]

Tomato, Pesto and Mozzarella Tart

Tomato, Pesto and Mozzarella Tart

I woke up to two large bowls of tomatoes on my kitchen counter yesterday. Why is it that they all have to come ripe all at the same time! The tomatoes aren’t big this year but they are sweet and juicy. I knew I had to get busy and start doing something with them. I had book club yesterday morning so I called my friend who was hosting and asked her if I could please bring something – how about a tomato tart I asked? She quickly agreed. Since book [Continue Reading…]

Roasted Corn, Strawberry and Avocado Salsa

Roasted Corn, Strawberry and Avocado Salad

We had a potluck BBQ on Monday.  I love potlucks.  It never fails that I come away with at least one new great recipe.  This time it was an amazing Greek pasta salad. I promise as soon as I get the recipe I’ll share! I provided a s’mores bar and an Italian Soda Bar.  Let me tell you, if you ever want to make a group of middle school aged boys happy, have an Italian Soda Bar!!  They loved it and I think they went through eight bottles of syrup! Raspberry Chipotle Sauce

You may remember that several weeks ago I had a fun visit at my home with Melanie from Mel’s Kitchen Cafe.  We had a s’more feast.  But lest you think that is all I served I did have something else a little more sophisticated! We had a little appetizer before our s’mores and it included today’s recipe for Raspberry Chipotle Sauce. I love a little sweet with my heat and Raspberry Chipotle Sauce is just that – sweet and heat. The other thing I love about this recipe is it’s [Continue Reading…]

Salsa – Quick and Easy

Salsa

What would a proper Cinco de Mayo celebration be without some chips and salsa? If you have never made your own salsa before because you thought it was too much work, too much chopping, today’s recipe is for you. It doesn’t get any quicker or easier than this.  O.K., except maybe buying it at the store. We love to go out for Mexican food and one of the reasons is the chips and salsa.  I love restaurant style salsa.  It’s not too chunky but just a little chunky. Over a [Continue Reading…]

Mexican Layered Dip

Mexican Layered Dip

Note:  If you haven’ shared your favorite New Year’s party food please add a link to your recipe here at my Linky Party! I can’t wait to try some of your recipes. This recipe is always required for any big football watching occasion at our home.  It is the first thing that Logan will request when I ask what they want.  Be it New Year’s Day or Super Bowl Sunday there will be Mexican Layered Dip at our house. It is similar to Seven Layer Dip but this one only [Continue Reading…]

Cranberry Salsa

Cranberry Salsa

I have been on a bit of a cranberry craze this fall. First there were those yummy egg nog cranberry white chocolate muffins (which seriously, if you haven’t tried, you really need too!) and then the cranberry pineapple muffins which were so nice and moist.  And then I came up with the yummy cranberry cream cheese bars which were quite delightful!. To be perfectly honest, I don’t think I have ever really cooked or baked with cranberries before.  Beside opening that can of cranberry relish on Thanksgiving, I had never [Continue Reading…]

Pumpkin Dip

Pumpkin Dip

One of my favorite things to do with apples is to dip them into some kind of yumminess. I especially love to dip my apples into this yummy apple dip. So good! You must try it. Well I found another yummy combination – pumpkin and apples. At my recent Mummies Night Out Party I served my favorite apple dip but I also served today’s recipe for pumpkin dip. The caramel dip is much sweater than the pumpkin dip so it was nice to have the balance and maybe, just maybe [Continue Reading…]

Bloomin Onion Bread

So I have been experimenting with a few recipes for my upcoming Mummies Night Out (only 3 spots left!!)  I want to make sure everything is delicious and that my party guests leave feeling spoiled rotten and full! I made this yummy recipe several weeks ago and my family went crazy for it.  I found the recipe over at  See Jane in the Kitchen and she had found it over at The Changeable Table, a blog I also enjoy. This one is going on the menu for sure! How can [Continue Reading…]
