Sublime Sensations and Swaddles Bath Aprons Giveaway

by Leigh Anne on December 14, 2009

Today’s giveaway will be the last one for this year and it’s a double which means two winners!  I am excited to introduce you to two different women and their homebased business.  Both of these business are examples of mother/daughter duos and how they work together and support one another.

I discovered Kendra and her yummy Sublime Sensation candles at a boutique I visited a month ago.   It just so happened that I knew her mother too who was helping her that day. Kendra is lucky to have the love and support of her family and especially her mother with her business – it is a family business.

I love candles and especially scented candles.  I burn one almost daily.  Kendra’s candles are soy so they burn long and clean.  I had a hard time deciding on a scent the day I purchased mine – so many yummy ones.  Because I love fragrant flowers too I decided on her Honeysuckle Jasmine.  Kendra’s candles would make the perfect gift for anyone on your list!  She has a great selection of fragrances and also has bodycare products too.

Let me introduce you to Kendra and what she has to say about her candles:

“Scents  have really become part of my ambiance and total mood—and when I decided to create my own candle business—I wanted to recreate those scents and the moods that they invoke.  Lose yourself in the exquisite peace of the beach, the mountains, the forest and all the precious gifts the planet has to offer.  Sit back, relax  and enjoy the scents and textures of all natural scents and skin care.  It is the gateway to sensations that are sublime.”

Kendra has donated a darling and fragrant gift basket for our giveaway.  The basket includes a 16-oz Apple Maple Bourbon Soy Candle, 1 4oz bar of soap, and 2 lip balms. (Approx. $28 value).  What a wonderful gift for someone on your holiday list or for yourself!!

Our second giveaway for this week is sponsored by Myra of Swaddles Bath Aprons.  Swaddles Bath Aprons was originally started by Myra’s daughter, Meg.  When Meg began her photography business she handed the bath apron business off to her mother!

At her etsy shop, Swaddles Bath Aprons, Myra makes darling bath aprons.  Mommy wears the apron while giving baby the bath and then she is ready to  swaddle and wrap the baby right up into her soft, absorbent apron made out of a cotton towel…making tub time, hug time.  In addition to her bath aprons Myra is also offering some great holiday kitchen aprons.

If you know me or have ever visited me at home you will most likely find me wearing an apron.  I mentioned this to a friend last week, that I always have an apron on.  When she stopped by the other day, I was of course wearing an apron, and she said, “You’re right, you do live in an apron!”

The other thing I always have on when I am in the kitchen is a towel over my shoulder.  Since I am a bit of a messy cook I am constantly needing to wipe off my hands.  Well – Myra’s aprons made out of 100% cotton towels are the perfect combination!  I can wipe my hands right on my nice absorbant apron!  No more need for an apron and a towel – brillant!!

Myra has graciusly donated one of her holiday aprons for our giveaway.

Let me introduce Myra:

Myra McCann

“I have had the luxury of being a stay at home Mom for most of the time I have been raising my children. My youngest is about to fly the coop and my eldest has handed over her home based business #1 to me as she pursues her home based business #2. This is her story. ” When my son was born in the spring of 2005, I became frustrated with hooded towels. Without any space but the floor, or my arms to place him, I had difficulty coordinating moving my delicate newborn from bath to towel.  Don’t get me wrong, hooded towels are great for toddlers, but for a newborn?  There had to be a better way. After searching the market with no success, I designed my bath apron.  I love the idea that the bath apron literally allows you to swaddle your baby. My son became very fond of after bath “snuggles,” which is why I chose the name Swaddles.” As Grandma I am now taking over and I must say enjoying sewing away knowing my little bath apron will go out and help  families in their most important task of raising their children!”

So just leave a comment below to be entered in the giveaway.  Since the holidays are fast approaching we are going to make this giveaway a little shorter so enter right away.  The giveaway will be open through Wednesday, Dec. 16th so enter now!!!
