We love dresses at our house. We especially love pretty dresses! There are days where I choose to wear a dress or skirt over shorts or capris because it’s cooler and cuter!
One of my favorite websites to look for a pretty and modest dress is Shabby Apple. Earlier this summer they contacted my daughter Tessa and I to see if we’d like to pick out a dress to try.
We were thrilled and so excited. There was only one problem! We couldn’t decide which dress we liked best. There were so many amazing, pretty choices.
After much thought and deliberation I decided to be very practical. I had been shopping around for a basic, black shirtwaist style dress. Something I could dress up or down and do a lot with.
I found the perfect one… The Nantucket.
The dress is made from a cotton spandax so it has a nice amount of stretch to it which is always a plus and makes it super comfortable. My favorite part though is the skirt. The dress has princess seams which are always flattering and they end in a flouncy little skirt. I am loving my dress.
Tessa had an even harder time than I did picking out her dress.
Should she go for the french inspired Oh La La….
or the quite lovely and ruffly San Gabriel..
and then there was the Champs Elysee…
I LOVE the one she picked out and you will have to head on over to her blog – Totally Tessa – to see which one she picked.
Shabby Apple has some darling swimsuits too and Tessa found a beautiful one – saved her own money to buy it. Check it out too!
