Slow Cooker Caramelized Onions turn out perfectly in the slow cooker and can be used for so many things such as soups, pastas and on top of burgers.
Several weeks ago I was able to spend a few days at The J.M. Smucker’s headquarters in Orville, Ohio. I learned lots about the company, met lots of fun bloggers and ate a lot of yummy food. I think this may have been my favorite idea they shared with us!!
They showed us how to caramelize onions in a slow cooker. I love caramelized onions but what I don’t like is chopping onions. My husband is the official onion chopper at our house. This recipe allows you to cook a large batch at once. Then you can freeze them to use whenever you like.

I don’t know what is happening but when ever I hit the print button on your recipe, it takes me to yahoo and I cant print the recipe. Is anyone else having this problem or is it just me. I never used to have this problem. Does anyone know how I can fix it? I have been printing Your Home Based Mom recipes for the last couple of years and I can’t go cold turkey. Thanks.

I’m working with my tech person to try and figure out what is going on with the Print button
Is it only on one specific recipe or all recipes?
Also what browser are you using.
If you could provide us with that info it might help us figure out the problem – thanks!

I never have the patience required for making carmelized onions. i am always in a rush and end up burning them because I cook them at too high a temperature. I am definitely going to make a big batch of these and freeze some for later use. Thank you for sharing the recipe.

You have a “print” button on your recipes but when I click nothing happens. It goes to a blank page. Any hints?
