1,600 miles, two books on tape listened to and one book read (Mockingjay) I am home from our trip to Utah. I got my Cafe Rio fix, had a cupcake shake at Sammy’s, a fresh peach shake at Taco Amigo, a slice of chocolate cake from Magleby’s Fresh and had a little shopping trip to Tai Pan. I am a happy woman!
Cali has been safely deposited into her new college apartment and met her new roommates. Her room is unpacked and classes have begun. No matter how many times I do this I still shed a few tears. I miss my kids.
All three of our college age children have gone to our alma mater – BYU in Provo, Utah. I love going back to visit the campus. There is just something about the energy of a college campus. All those young people beginning their lives, deciding what they want to be when they grow up. I wish I could go back again!
I am not a big sports fan but I must admit I do enjoy college sports and cheering for my school’s team. Jim and I had our first date to a BYU football game. In fact, Jim received an airline ticket to Utah for his birthday. He leaves on Friday to attend BYU’s opening season game against University of Washington.
Of course you can’t attend a college football game without decking yourself out in the school colors. That would be blue and white for BYU.

Tessa is my very good friend! We used to live just houses away….until I moved up here to Portland. I’m basically in love with everything she does. But I would love either the solid black, a white one, or the new light pink one they have. My girls and I would all wear it!

I’ll be honest, I like just the plain white ones. They would pop out so well on my dark hair and go with anything! Plus, I’m a coug too, but must admit I don’t love blue. So the one time I wear blue is when I wear a BYU shirt, thus the white would match great!
