Prayers for Megan and a Special Request

I have a favor to ask.

Just over a month ago, Megan entered the hospital to give birth to her first baby.  After routine blood work they discovered that Megan  has AML which is Acute Myeloid Leukemia.  After holding her newborn baby for a very short time Megan was taken to a local cancer center where she has been undergoing very aggressive treatments to save her life.  She has had two rounds of chemo and is preparing for a bone marrow transplant.

Megan is married to a friend of my oldest son Logan.

September 5th is Megan’s 27th birthday and her husband has started Operation Get Well Card in hopes of Megan receiving over 2,000 birthday cards.

I am asking that we each take a few minutes out of our busy lives today to help this sweet new mother.  Please send Megan a card and some kinds words that will help strengthen her as she fights for her life.  Thank you!  I know Megan and Ryan will appreciate it too.  Please add Megan to your prayers too!

You can read more about Megan and her fight on their blog or join her Facebook page, Prayers for Megan. for regular updates.

Will do– she is my age. I would love to do what I can. It may be a little personal- but if you have a second to e-mail me back… I have had some disheartening blood tests with the last two pregnancies but nothing this severe has come from them (yet). I am wondering what the blood tests were? Thanks.

How shocking that is to find out you have Leukemia and especially right after you just delivered a baby! My prayers are with Megan. I’ll have her name put on the Denver temple prayer roll too. Card sent today.

I will be making a card today. What a devastating thing to happen. I cannot imagine…so sorry to hear about this, I just said a prayer, and I will continue to pray for them and the doctors who treat her.
