I am hosting a dinner party and you are invited! There is also a really cool prize involved with this dinner party. You are going to want it – I promise!!
As much as I’d love to have each and every one of you over to my house for dinner – wouldn’t that be fun!? – it’s just not possible.
So I’d like to invite you to a virtual dinner party. And you get to help plan the menu.
The only requirement is that the recipe has to come from Pioneer Woman. You do know Pioneer Woman, don’t you?
Pioneer Woman is a ROCK STAR blogger. This woman gets thousands of comments on her posts, was recently featured in People Magazine, the Bonnie Hunt show and just came out with her own cookbook! She is my idol!
Over the last few years of blogging I have tried lots of her recipes. I have yet to find one that disappoints.
This past week I was in an apple mood so I baked up her Apple Cake in an Iron Skillet. I love cooking anything in my cast iron skillet!
It was yummy and delicious and perfect with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, just like Pioneer Woman promised. As good as the cake was I must admit my favorite Pioneer Woman apple dessert is her Apple Dumplings - oh my gosh!! They are amazing!
To join my dinner party all you have to do is let me know what your favorite Pioneer Woman recipe is. Just leave a comment to let me know. If you haven’t made any Pioneer Woman recipes yet go on over and pay her a visit and look through her recipe archives. You’ll be drooling soon. Then come back and leave a comment and let me know which one you are going to try!
I can’t wait to see what some of your favorites are.
Now to the prize part. With the help of random.org, one of you will be selected to receive a FREE copy of Pioneer Woman’s new cookbook!!

Of course, the cookbook is full of amazing Pioneer Woman photography. Step by step photos of her amazing food. Many of my favorite PW recipes are in the book as well as several new ones I am looking forward to trying. I think the first one on the To Try list will be the Breakfast Bowls – what a fun way to serve breakfast and clean out your frig!!
So just leave a comment sharing your favorite PW recipe and keep your fingers crossed. To earn an extra entry, just blog about my dinner party or share it on Facebook. Come back and leave another comment with the link to your post!
Here are some of our family PW favorites!
Can’t wait to hear your favorites!
This giveaway is open until Friday, Nov.13, midnight PST.

I simply adore every recipe I have tried of hers. The last one was her carmel apple sticky buns, oh my- they are TO DIE FOR! I also love YOUR recipes, the spanish rice is my latest favorite, I have searched for years for a rice I like for mexican dishes and it is perfect. When I am in the mood for a new and wonderful recipe I know I can count on you for one. Thank you.
Her apple dumplings and pico de gaillo! Yum!
And just how are we supposed to pick just one? Really, should I start with the apple dumplings? Or, lasagna? Or chocolate sheet cake? Or her olive bread?
I just don’t know what to do.
Thanks!
I have tried a lot of Ree’s recipes… and have loved them all. Her chocolate sheet cake is amazing as are the cake balls, meatballs, enchiladas, spreads, crash potatoes. The list could go on and on! I’m dissapointed I missed her on the Bonnie Hunt show!
My favorite so far is by far the Onion Strings! So absolutely delicious!!!! I’m a huge fan of her Tasty Kitchen site also
Love so many of them. Just made the rosemary dinner rolls. Also the peach crisp is a fave and the olive cheese bread. Yum

We love the steak bites (they are perfect for my kids) and the crash hot potatoes! Thanks for the chance to win, then I could get something else for Christmas
I tried the Crash Hot Potatoes last night. They were delicious! We had a dinner guest as well and they were a bit hit with everyone. They will become a regular side dish for our family!
We are definitely a meat and potatoes kind of family so our favorite PW recipe is her Crash Hot Potatoes. LOVE them! I was seriously so giddy (along with the rest of her followers) when she came out with her cookbook. It’s on my Christmas wish list this year. I am planning on buying a few copies for my dearest girlfriend, mom and MIL.
I like her Asian Noodle Salad and want to try the Apricot Bars. I was visiting Salt Lake City and had to leave just two days before her book signing. Too bad!
I love her Chocolate Sheet Cake.
Love, l0ve, loooove the Apple Dumplings, and also the Crash Hot Potatoes. I don’t think I’ve ever had a flop from a P-Dub recipe.
For SURE the apple dumplings, the Cookbook looks darling!
I love her steak bites! Anything that she makes turns to gold!
Our family loves her pot roast recipe. Delicious! And I would love to own her cookbook.
The mashed potatoes are to die for along with her pot roast! YUMMY!
I absolutely love her Crash Hot Potatoes because it is a twist on the way we normally serve potatoes. Every time I took it to a summer BBQ that platter was emptied very quickly.
I’ve only fixed a couple of her recipes so far, but my family loved both of them – Asian noodle salad and apple dumplings…YUM!!! Hoping to get her cookbook and try some more. Maybe I’ll even WIN it!
Thanks for the opportunity!
The Apple Dumplings are a favorite . . . I only make them to take to potlucks because otherwise I would eat too many!! They are easy to make, and I never bring home leftovers when I bring them to church dinners. Yum!
I also have not made one recipe that I haven’t loved! I love that every recipe is made with realistic, basic ingredients and are very easy to make! Plus the step by step instructions are just hilarious! My familyLOVES the Chocolate Sheet Cake, Hot Crash Potatoes, Asian Noodle Salad and the Apple Dumplings, and on and on!

I cannot wait to try her Chicken Enchiladas–they look amazing!
I love your idea of a virtual dinner party, especially with Ree’s recipes! She is not only a wonderful cook, but also a wonderful blogger. I just love her blog and would love to have her cookbook! One of my favorite recipes is her Baked Lemon Pasta. It is so easy and delicious!
We just tried the Crashed Potatoes. Yummy! Can’t wait to try the bread pudding.
That is really tough! If I have to choose, I am going to say the Crash Hot Potatoes. I love how versatile they are and you can change up the flavor based on whatever herbs/seasonings you have available.
I am in LOVE with Ree’s Pico de Gallo and Gauca mole recipes. SO GOOD! Looking through the comments I can tell that I need to try her Crash Hot Potatoes. Yum… thanks for giving me an excuse to look through her recipes again.
It’s really hard to choose just one! But I won my boyfriend over with her caesar salad recipe! It’s so amazing! I need to find anchovies in a jar, because we could eat it every week!
Like you said, Pioneer Woman’s Apple Dumplings are super delish! I am so excited that she has a cookbook.
My favorite has to be the Texas Sheet Cake. I only ever make it when lots of people will be around because I know I won’t be able to stop eating it!

From there it was love at first site… love, love, love her… I am so PROUD of the fact that she is No 1 on the NY Times Bestseller’s list~ isn;t that funny I am proud of her!
I would have to say, while I like all of her recipes that I have tried.. my kids really like Marlboro Man’s Second Favorite Sandwich…
Yes, that is the kind of cook I am. I need a recipe for a sandwich. But, it is really good!
Mine is simple, I love her Migas! There are like 100 other recipes of hers that I adore, but these Migas are sooooooo good!
I love love love the recipe for Crash Hot Potatoes! We’ve eaten them at least once a week(if not more) since first seeing the recipe. They’re so good!
Thanks for hosting this dinner party. See this, I brought yo a virtual bottle of wine. It a beautiful merlot that we can share a glass after enjoying your beautifully preapred dinner!
Love those crash potatoes. Soft yet a little crusty. Just perfect. We like to mix some smashed garlic with the olive oil before drizzling too, makes a nice change of pace.

I have made many, many of Pioneer Woman’s recipes, but some our family LOVES are Hot Crush Potatoes & Lasagna! YUMMMMMYYYY!
Love your website too and have used many recipes here as well…thank you.
So many fun and yummy recipes I’ve tried since you first turned us on to this great site, it’s hard to pick a favorite. The ‘zucchini cakes’ were a real family hit when my garden overfload with tons of zucchini. I must have made them at least once a week for awhile and never got complaints….only requests for more. I have to make ‘The Marlboro Man’ ’cause I worked with the man who developed and founded that handsome guy (a long time ago when I was in advertising). So, in memory of him, I had to make it and have since repeated it many times, to everyone’s delight. And like everyone else, we all LOVE the ‘Crash Potatoes’, in fact, they are on the menu tonight along with the ‘onion strings’. Come on over……always love love love a party and the more the merrier!!!!
Love all of her recipes..total comfort food. SS
I love everything I’ve tried. Apple Dumplings ahve to be one of the favorites. Thanks for reminding us of her amazing site–love yours too.
STEAK BITES!!!! Need I say more? Okay, I will….they are simple, inexpensive and quickly devoured….and I haven’t found anyone who doesn’t love ‘em:)
caramel apple pie. But I’m definitely looking up the hot crash potatoes after seeing all the comments here!
Those apple dumplings look amazing. I think I am going to bathe in them!
Dinner rolls. every party needs some dinner rolls
I have made quite a few of the fab pioneer woman’s recipes, but one of the tried and true is her mashed potatoes. I love making this side dish when I need to bring a meal to someone…..it is the ultimate “hey-you-REALLY-know-I-care-I-made-you-homemade-mashed-potatoes” comfort food. Iwould LUUVVE a copy of that book!
The Apple Dumplings are the BEST!
