Leigh Anne, I just read your post "A Lesson in Imperfection." I tried to leave a comment there but it wouldn't send correctly. Something I know for sure though is that with such a powerful song as "I Know That My Redeemer Lives" and Cali's sweet voice, the Spirit really is touching each heart of the listener and fills in the gaps even though human imperfections are made.
I bet Cali would be surprised at just how much emotion was felt by each person.

Most people can't even get up there to sing in the first place.

On the flip side, sometimes an "Oops!" can keep us humble! :-)

I just went and read your beautiful story. As you said your daughter couldn't figure out what happened but I truly believe that someone in the congregation needed her to give an imperfect but still beautiful rendition so that they could learn to let go of their perfectionism. Good for her for continuing and helping to deliver that message even though it was stressful for her.

Oh yes! I saw that post yesterday and knew it was you before I saw your name at the end of the article because of your cute daughter. I'm even learning things from my two year old. Thanks for sharing.

What a beautiful and touching story. We all need "lessons in imperfection" every now and then to remind us that we are human and we make mistakes. But thank goodness for the gospel and the peace we can find in the knowledge that our mistakes can be forgiven and forgotten! Thank you for sharing this! I needed it today. :)
