Gluten Free Recipe Contest

As many of you know, who have been following my blog, we have been dealing with a lot of food issues with my daughter Cali.  She is now on a pretty strict diet of no wheat, no sugar, no dairy, no red meat, no yeast and a few other things.  It does make cooking challenging but I have discovered that there are a lot of amazing options out there for people on special diets.

Recently Betty Crocker has come out with a whole new line of gluten free products that help people like Cali!  It was so fun to send Cali off to college with some quick and easy gluten free mixes that she could use.

As a result of all of this, I have spent a lot of time experimenting with lots of gluten free recipes and I know many of you have some good ones too.

I wanted to let you know about a gluten free recipe contest Betty Crocker is hosting.  The deadline is fast approaching – June 30th so be sure and enter quick.  You can go to their website to check out all the details.  If you submit a recipe send it to me too – I’d love to try it!

You can also find out more information on all their great new gluten free products too!

If you’d like to try some, through the end of June, you can save 20% on the purchase of any of the five Betty Crocker Gluten Free mixes. To find a store near you  and get a coupon go here.

The products were given to me by Betty Crocker through BlogSpark but all opinions are my own.

I think I missed the story on Cali’s food issues – though the restrictions sound familiar. I was also recently placed on a similar diet and it has made an amazing positive difference in my life. I would LOVE it if you would share menu and recipe ideas that work for her. It’s not a quaint trendy preference for me – it’s a necessity. And I’m always interested in how others in a similar situation are making it work for them. Thank you!

p.s. I wasn’t implying it was a preference for Cali either, just that usually when I mention these restrictions, others think it is for me – and it is not. I hope the changes have worked for Cali, as they have for me. Lots of good luck and love.

i have some good gluten free recipes but that is really tough with all those restrictions! just browse local health food stores for mixes and snacks otherwise there are lots of blogs dedicated to many kinds of diets. good luck to her, it’s so much easier when you are at home.
