Today I am excited to introduce you to a new Etsy shop and sponsor of Your Homebased Mom. You know how I love Etsy, in fact I love it so much I opened my own Etsy shop!
When Beki of the Rusted Chain contacted me about sponsoring a giveaway here on the blog and being a sponsor I was so excited. Beki makes beautiful personalized jewelry and I knew she would be the perfect one to make my Word of the Year necklace!
As you may remember, my word of the year is really not a word but rather a prefix – Re. I was a little worried about how strange it may look on a necklace but when it arrived, wrapped up so pretty from The Rusted Chain, I loved it!
I didn’t realize how many freckles I had until I saw this photo! Freckles and all the necklace is beautiful!!
Here’s a necklace with Beki’s word of the year – Soar. What a great word.
Wouldn’t you love a pretty necklace with your word of the year engraved on it?!
Just leave a quick comment below letting us know what your word is and you’ll be entered. If you’d like a second chance to win share this giveaway on your blog and then come back and leave a second comment with a link to your blog. Share the giveaway on Facebook, leave a third comment and you have 3 chances to win!!
I am excited to introduce you to Beki today and to welcome here as a sponsor of Your Homebased Mom. Please check out her cute little button on my home page. You can click on through to her Etsy shop from there!
Please welcome Beki of The Rusted Chain to Your Homebased Mom!
Beki Hastings began making custom jewelry in 2003. Since that time, her products have been featured in various parenting magazines, Pediped shoe advertisements, Law and Order Criminal Intent, and are sold in local upscale boutiques and internationally.
Her designs feature the best of timeless elegance and trendy looks, with the end result being quality jewelry that will look as new and fresh years from now as it does today. Each piece is custom made using sterling silver, natural stones, and the finest components. Her products include hand stamped jewelry, earrings, brooches, and hair accessories.
Beki is also a photographer and blogger. She lives in Kansas with her husband, and her three children, a daughter, aged 9, and two sons ages 8 and 3. A former flight attendant, Beki is truly enjoying being home with her children. Being a designer is, she says, the best way for her to remain home with her family and still have a creative outlet.
Be sure and leave your comment and let us know your word of the year!!
This giveaway will be open through Friday, Feb. 19th at midnight PST.

My word would be embrace.
If that’s too long for the necklace, my word would be love.
I chose those words because this is the year I have decided to embrace me.
I think women, or atleast me, spend a lot of time looking for our value in how we look, what we have, what we wish we were, etc. This is the year I embrace me and love me as is. No more waiting for “when I’m. . . ”
(I actually thought about peace as my word, as in finally coming to peace with myself but I thought it sounded a bit hippie!)
My word is be
Be happy
be nice
be _
What a darling necklace
My word this year is: “Steadfast”
My word is give.
I love the word/prefix you chose! It looks great.
dream
or
dream BIG
Hope.
As in I hope to win this!
I would love to have a necklace with my word of the year.
I don’t have a word! But at the moment my word would be “still” … I need to be STILL!
Maybe I’ll make that my word.
My word would have to be ALWAYS…..
Always laugh….
Always love…
Always live life to the fullest….
my word is “peacemaker”
I think my word would have to be LIVE. Live life, live in the moment, live so there are no regrets. Yeah, I think LIVE would be my word of the year.
What a beautiful necklace and great giveaway! My word is “REST”.
Thank you!
I’m not sure what my word is yet. I think it may be “joy,” but I’m not positive. Thanks!
My word would be SIMPLIFY
My word of 2010 is “thrive.” I am done not giving my all. I want to thrive in every aspect of my life, but mostly as a wife and mother. Life is too short to settle, so this is my year to prosper! 2010 is going to be great!
not sure what my word would be yet but i am about to become an empty nester and start a new phase of my life that i am trying to be excited about, so something to do with that!
Just shared this on my facebook as well.
I think I would select “inspire” — and I would give the necklace to my daughter’s kindergarten teacher. She is an amazing woman and I’m thrilled she is teaching my little girl.
My word would be Cherish.
My word for this year is “dance.” I’ve been sitting out of too many things for quite awhile…this is the year for me to get in there and go for it. Thanks!
My word for this year is “believe”.
Believe in my truth.
Believe in my strength.
Believe in myself.
My word is LIVE.
I need to let go of all of the stress and worry and just live.
My word is for my sister – I’m entering for her. She has walked through so much in the last couple of years, and wrote a new year’s note to all of us in the family saying her word for the year is JOY. She is praying for Joy to replace the season of mourning she has been in. I think she would love such a necklace to wear this year!
My word for the year is entertain.
entertain in my home once a month
entertain a new exercise program
entertain new ideas
entertain creativity
My word would be “intentional.” I didn’t set specific resolutions this year, but in every thing I want to be intentional. Thanks for the giveaway…they are beautiful!
My word for the year is Faith
To have Faith in God’s love and care for me and those I love.
I think this is a beautiful necklace…freckles and all, indeed!
I really like the layered feel of the necklace, along with how the sphere and circular shapes work together. Beautiful.
My word of the year is “family.”
Thanks for a such a great giveaway!
My word is Rejoice
I’ve added a link to this post on my blog. It’s on the right hand side under “giveaways and contests…” I hope this qualifies.
I shared this on Facebook.

My word for the year is “Love”. Not very original, but I want to focus on ‘love’ this year, mainly creating a loving home, a loving atmosphere for my children.
What a pretty necklace!!!!! I would “LOVE” to wear one!!!!!
My word would be “believe”
My word is “Joy.” It’s a beautiful necklace! And Leigh Anne, I just love your blog. Miss seeing you at the monthly meetings since I’ve moved out of state.

Blessed.
To remind me of all the positive things in my life.

My word is HAPPY – my goal this year is to remind myself that I should be happy regardless of my circumstances.
My word is Trust. This year I will trust God, myself and my husband. Thanks for the chance to win.
I completely forgot about picking a word of the day, that is how incredibly busy I have been. But I think “blessed” sounds wonderful. In all of our busy craziness I need to remember how blessed I really am.
My word is calm. To try to remain calm during all times so that I can see all perspectives. Thank you for offering so a great giveaway.
Dennis, my husband.
Oh, man…what a fantastic giveaway!
My word this year is: LISTEN. So important for me to take note of and take part in on so many different levels.
Jen Davis, Wisconsin
My word is “contentment”, reminding me to be content where God has placed me in my life and not be envious or striving for what I don’t have.
“Passion.” I want to be passionate about life and everything in which I’m involved. I want to be more passionate in my faith, my dreams, and in my relationships. Thanks for a great (and very cute!) giveaway.
My word is abide.
In John 15 verses 4 and 5 , Jesus said “Abide in me and I in you . . . For without me ye can do nothing.”
I want to abide in Him, to be completely swallowed in God, so that everything
I do is of Him and from Him and through Him. I want my life to count for Him. I want to impact others for Him.
I want to abide.
My word is Enjoy. Last year was a rough one for our family, so I want to enjoy life this year. Enjoy the company of my family, enjoy my pets, enjoy my hobbies, enjoy the little things I see and do everyday. A little less worrying about cleaning & work, and a lot more enjoyment.
