Today I am excited to introduce you to a new Etsy shop and sponsor of Your Homebased Mom. You know how I love Etsy, in fact I love it so much I opened my own Etsy shop!
When Beki of the Rusted Chain contacted me about sponsoring a giveaway here on the blog and being a sponsor I was so excited. Beki makes beautiful personalized jewelry and I knew she would be the perfect one to make my Word of the Year necklace!
As you may remember, my word of the year is really not a word but rather a prefix – Re. I was a little worried about how strange it may look on a necklace but when it arrived, wrapped up so pretty from The Rusted Chain, I loved it!
I didn’t realize how many freckles I had until I saw this photo! Freckles and all the necklace is beautiful!!
Here’s a necklace with Beki’s word of the year – Soar. What a great word.
Wouldn’t you love a pretty necklace with your word of the year engraved on it?!
Just leave a quick comment below letting us know what your word is and you’ll be entered. If you’d like a second chance to win share this giveaway on your blog and then come back and leave a second comment with a link to your blog. Share the giveaway on Facebook, leave a third comment and you have 3 chances to win!!

Please welcome Beki of The Rusted Chain to Your Homebased Mom!
Beki Hastings began making custom jewelry in 2003. Since that time, her products have been featured in various parenting magazines, Pediped shoe advertisements, Law and Order Criminal Intent, and are sold in local upscale boutiques and internationally.
Her designs feature the best of timeless elegance and trendy looks, with the end result being quality jewelry that will look as new and fresh years from now as it does today. Each piece is custom made using sterling silver, natural stones, and the finest components. Her products include hand stamped jewelry, earrings, brooches, and hair accessories.
Beki is also a photographer and blogger. She lives in Kansas with her husband, and her three children, a daughter, aged 9, and two sons ages 8 and 3. A former flight attendant, Beki is truly enjoying being home with her children. Being a designer is, she says, the best way for her to remain home with her family and still have a creative outlet.
Be sure and leave your comment and let us know your word of the year!!
This giveaway will be open through Friday, Feb. 19th at midnight PST.

Beautiful! My word of the year is growth. I want to grow spiritually, emotionally, and physically (get healthy and lose some weight).
The word I’m working on this year is “LOVE”
I would love to win! My word this year is “bloom” to remind me to bloom where I am planted. Blessings!
Love it! My word would be JOY.
I’m borrowing my word from one of the comments, as I was thinking about it, EMBRACE is really a word that capsulates all my goals right now…loving the past, enjoying the present, and taking the future by the horns!
FOCUS
GO is the word for our family…as we leave for London in 6-9 months as career missionaries…
So pretty! My word would be HOPE!
BOYS……I am surrounded by them. Not 1 girl in the whole family- including extended family. I love every second of it…all my “boys” take care of me and treat me like the princess I am…my word is BOYS:)
My word is ‘anticipate’.
I’m struggling between focus and passion. I definitely need to be better focused to accomplish the things I want to do, however I believe I need to work on being more passionate about the things that matter to me and to let it show. I love Beki’s necklaces. I went to her etsy store and sent a link to both of my sisters suggesting a necklace they could give to their daughters-in-law. One sister ordered it right away and thanked me for the wonderful idea. I also sent the link to my husband as a mother’s day idea. I love the necklaces with children’s names on them.
The word for me this year is thankful
The word for me this year is thankful. My husband returned from Iraq after a 15 month tour (his third tour), so glad to have our family whole again!
I haven’t picked a word for the year, so I’ve enjoyed reading others’ word choices and been inspired. Maybe I would choose my kids’ initials. Thanks for the opportunity!
Ooooh there are so many great words. When I saw your post about your word for the year, I was going to do one. But then I couldn’t choose!! If I win this giveaway it’ll force me to
.
I would choose your word from last year- joy. I need to remind myself to be joyful. I have so much to be joyful about!
My word is “In…” as Hope in, Believe in, Trust in, in Trust, in Love, In….both as a word and as a prefix…..inspire, intrigue, …… in you…..
I think my word for this year will be “joy.” It is my middle name and we are planning on naming it as our first little girl’s (due in June) middle name as well.
My word for the year is a “Re” word — “Renew”.
My word would be “enjoy” – as in Enjoy the Journey!
Well, last year it was “create” and I did!
This year my word is “Believe” because I have to believe that after the past two incredibly hard years, things are going to get better soon!
My word is chill.
About 20 times a day, I have to remind myself to chill out. I wish I could just relax and enjoy each moment.
My word is Anchor for my daughter Robin
She is the anchor for her family including two autistic sons ages 4 & 5 years.
Definition: a person or thing that can be relied on for support, stability, and security; “Hope was his only anchor”.
Leigh Anne, I had to refer back to your January post on Word of the Year to be reminded of the word I picked…so I guess I need a necklace to wear to remnd me!
My word is RENEW and I’d love to win the necklace from this talented artist.
My word would be Live. I think that if we live rather than just survive we encompass all that is good.
My word would be GRACE in honor of my mom. My four sisters and I are always inspired by our mother’s grace. She always does “the right thing.” She makes sure noone is ever left out. She goes out of her way to always help others and show she’s thinking of them, even as she is the one battling lymphoma. She is amazingly full of Grace!
Positive would be my word! Be positive with whatever you are given to deal with. Since last year it was alot!
I would love this necklace as a constant reminder of my “word”. My word this year is CREATE.
I hope to create stronger relationships with my family
I hope to create a more simple, efficient home
I hope to create fun memories with my kids
I hope to create a more solid relationship with my Heavenly Father
I hope to create more friendships
I love having a word of the year! What a great foundation for setting and accomplish new goals!
“WORD”
a single WORD …love, hope, freedom, etc. make each WORD count and make it positive!
My word is Acceptance. These necklaces are beautiful!! Thanks for the giveaway!
Breathe is my word for this year.
It helps me remember other great words
Breathe-Balance-Boundaries
Breathe-Center-Connect
I remember this from last year when my word was Opportunity, viewing all of life as an opportunity to grow, heal and learn.
My word is: MOTHER
My beautiful baby girl, Bella, was born a year ago this week. And she is the most precious gift from God. This year I have truly learned that my love has no limit. How blessed I have been to become a mother.
My word this year is CALM. As a mother of 6 ages 15,13,12,12,11, and 2 my house is anything but calm. I am homeschooling the oldest two also, so my hours of calm with only a sweet 2 year old home are gone now too. I am trying to remember to stay calm amidst the chaos of 3 adhd children, two with FAS inflicted learning disabilities!
