Finding 50}Days 183 -189

This was a busy week. An 80th birthday party for my mom and getting ready for the Wilkes family reunion at the beach. As busy as it was there was plenty of pretty to be found!

I am taking a bit of a blog break this week as I enjoy the beach with 55 of Jim’s family including my own four kids!  I have a couple of  posts about my trip to London/Paris for you to enjoy and I’ll be back with some great recipes for you next week plus I’ve had a request for a scarf tying tutorial from some of you after seeing my travel wardrobe post.  Stay tuned!

July 5 – Day 183
We planted new strawberry plants this year so I didn’t expect to get much of a crop. I was so excited when I went out to the strawberry patch and saw these.

Nothing like a fresh warm strawberry straight out of the garden – pretty yummy!

July 7 – Day 185

The day of my mom’s party I used flowers from the garden on all the tables.

July 10 – Day 188

Low tide was early this morning so we got up to visit the tide pools.  We saw some pretty things including this great purple starfish.  Emily requested I use it as one of my pretties for the week – this one is for you Emily!

July 11 – Day 189

We are helping this pretty amazing couple celebrate 60 years of marriage today!  Congratulations to my in laws, Chuck and Verla Wilkes.  They are wonderful people who love and care for their family of 77 posterity so much!  I am privileged to be a part of the family.  I am grateful for the love and support that is given us on a continual basis!_DSC0846

I’m so happy for you to be spending time with all four kids together. My kids are all grown now, and I know how hard it is to get them all together.
Have a wonderful vacation with your family!

That starfish picture is awesome! I’m craving the beach now. Why must I live in Utah? haha

Have a great time with the family! Great shots! Love your strawberries! My favorite shot is the third one….the flowers in the blue glass. Looks like it came from a magazine shooting. Best wishes to Chuck and Verla Wilkes! Sweet looking couple!

THANKS for all you did to make the reunion such a success! Alwas look forward to your pretties–makes me appreciate the pretty in my life. We loved seeing the starfish too. We took our first truckload over on Saturday to the new house , so my time for reading blogs hs been miniscule this week.
